Wide receiver Elic Ayomanor's rise
Transcript
00:00 - Why has wide receiver Eli Iomanor
00:05 been so productive in recent weeks?
00:08 - Yeah, I think partly it's a reflection
00:11 of kind of the guys that have gone out,
00:12 like Benjamin Urosik, who was their top target,
00:15 top preseason all-conference tight end,
00:18 was hurt in that Colorado game that Iomanor broke out.
00:21 Casey Filkins, who's kind of their most versatile
00:23 running back, he's been out.
00:25 They haven't had John Humphries,
00:26 their top receiver for a while.
00:28 So I think part of it is a reflection
00:30 on the weapons that they have.
00:31 And part of it is he definitely has emerged.
00:33 I mean, he's always been kind of a speedy guy.
00:36 He's been, he was battling a pretty significant leg injury,
00:39 which is why he didn't play last year,
00:41 and even started this year kind of with a brace.
00:43 So I think he's just gotten healthier and more confident.
00:46 Certainly at almost 300 yards receiving
00:48 in one game against Colorado,
00:49 that, you know, nobody was expecting that,
00:50 but I think people were expecting him to sort of emerge.
00:53 And I think he's kind of found his level.
00:55 You know, he hasn't had a game remotely like that.
00:57 since the Colorado game, but he has become their top receiving threat.
