00:35 February the 29th. Dear Diary,
00:39 This morning was much like any other morning,
00:42 and when I took my usual walk,
00:44 I had no idea that on this day I was destined to find the girl of my dreams.
00:51 [whistling]
00:56 Wow.
00:58 [whistling]
01:02 [humming]
01:07 [music]
01:16 I suppose the whole thing was my fault.
01:19 I was just a lonesome bachelor searching for my ID.
01:23 Oh dear.
01:25 [music]
01:35 Ah yes, I'm quite impulsive by nature.
01:38 [whistling]
01:42 And yet I can't say I was unhappy as a bachelor,
01:45 though at times I felt I was missing something.
01:49 Help, help, save me.
01:52 Oh darn.
01:55 My technique was simple.
01:57 I swept her off her feet.
02:00 My search was over.
02:02 At last I'd found my dream girl.
02:05 Took her to the latest movies.
02:07 Just two crazy kids.
02:09 [music]
02:12 We dined at the best places.
02:14 [music]
02:16 I took her to my favorite spot.
02:19 [music]
02:24 And she took me to hers.
02:26 [music]
02:29 And when I could resist her no longer, I kissed her.
02:34 [kissing]
02:36 Ah, I knew I was winning her over.
02:38 I was invited to meet the family.
02:41 [buzzer]
02:42 [laughing]
02:44 Donald, meet my brothers.
02:47 [kissing]
02:49 And this is my mother.
02:51 Hey, what's the name?
02:54 Donald Duckman.
02:56 Hmm, and this is Daddy.
02:59 Ah yes, they were my kind of people.
03:03 [music]
03:05 I knew the time was now to pop the question.
03:07 [music]
03:10 Ah, tonight's the night.
03:12 Here comes Drainboat.
03:15 Drainboat's on top and just a little bit slower.
03:19 [buzzer]
03:20 [music]
03:22 [squeaking]
03:24 I am on the horn.
03:26 Be down as soon as I powder my nose, Dreamer.
03:30 [humming]
03:34 [music]
03:36 Alone at last.
03:38 The stage was all set for my big moment.
03:42 [music]
03:47 [snoring]
03:49 [music]
03:55 Look at you, baby.
03:56 Would I?
03:58 Baby.
04:00 At last my dreams had come true.
04:03 [music]
04:06 The family didn't feel they'd lost a daughter,
04:09 but had gained a son.
04:12 [music]
04:14 Goodbye, Daisy.
04:16 [music]
04:18 She helped plan our honeymoon.
04:21 [music]
04:26 [music]
04:28 [squeaking]
04:30 [music]
04:32 But I promised them.
04:35 She was loyal.
04:38 She was sensitive.
04:40 [gasp]
04:41 And had a wonderful sense of value.
04:44 Hmm.
04:46 [tires screeching]
04:47 We drove directly to our dream cottage.
04:51 [humming]
04:54 Alone at last.
04:56 Don't drop no mud on them flowers.
05:00 [squeaking]
05:02 [music]
05:04 So with the honeymoon over, we settled down to domestic life
05:08 and got to know each other better.
05:11 [squeaking]
05:13 What's the matter?
05:17 I'll never forget that first evening when I return home.
05:22 [snoring]
05:25 [music]
05:26 [music]
05:30 [humming]
05:33 [squeaking]
05:35 [music]
05:37 She had prepared my favorite dish.
05:43 [squeaking]
05:44 Dinner's served.
05:47 And how surprised I was to see her family.
05:50 [music]
05:53 [squeaking]
05:55 [music]
05:57 [music]
06:02 Now after a hearty meal, I went for my favorite chat.
06:06 The garbage buster.
06:08 I began to notice a change in Daisy.
06:12 What had happened to this beautiful thing between us?
06:15 Was this the wedded bliss I'd dreamed of?
06:20 I was losing my identity.
06:22 I had become a robot.
06:25 [music]
06:39 Donald. Donald. Dreamer boy.
06:43 Wake up.
06:46 [music]
06:47 [squeaking]
06:49 [music]
06:52 Dear diary, it was a narrow escape.
06:56 Though I was born when I kissed her, I died when we parted.
07:02 [music]
07:07 But I lived for a little while.
07:10 [music]
