Police officer shot dead, another injured, in South Australia
An officer died and another was injured in a shooting near the SA-Victorian border while responding to an incident at a property on Senior Rd, Senior, where they encountered an armed suspect.

00:00 An incident occurred last night where three police officers attended an isolated rural
00:04 property about 15km north of Border Town.
00:09 On arrival, the police officers in attendance were confronted by the occupant, a 26-year-old
00:15 man.
00:16 Upon being confronted, the occupant has shot and fatally wounded Brevet Sergeant Jason
00:22 Doig and he later died at the scene.
00:24 The occupant also shot Sergeant Michael Hutchinson who received non-life threatening injuries
00:30 and Michael Hutchinson has been conveyed to hospital in Adelaide.
00:34 The third police officer, Constable Rebecca Cass, was not injured during the incident.
00:39 The 26-year-old man was shot by police and he's also been conveyed to Adelaide and is
00:43 under police guard at this time.
00:45 The two officers, Michael Hutchinson and Rebecca Cass, both provided assistance to Jason and
00:51 the 26-year-old man at the scene prior to the help arriving.
