DFS Analysis: Is Christian McCaffrey Worth the Price?

00:17 He's my sensibility.
00:19 Some other reasons I like RBD as well,
00:21 wink, wink, but it might be too early
00:22 for some on the East Coast, some.
00:25 But McCaffrey to start, would you,
00:27 how many lineups would you build with McCaffrey
00:30 at this price point, Joe?
00:31 - At this price point, the caveat that matters the most.
00:36 Last week we talked about it, right?
00:38 I mean, the streak is over now.
00:40 So was it 17, 18 games in a row
00:42 that Christian McCaffrey had a touchdown
00:43 going back to last year?
00:45 They tried to get him that touchdown at the end of the game.
00:47 It fell a little short, unfortunately,
00:48 but at the end of the day, Christian McCaffrey, again,
00:51 top of the list as he should be, understandably so.
00:54 Now a little bit different in terms of
00:56 the matchup this week as opposed to last week.
00:59 Last week we thought coming out of the bye,
01:00 things were really good, they did,
01:01 but he still didn't quite return that $10,000 value last week
01:05 which is something we warned about.
01:07 And now going up this week
01:08 against Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense,
01:10 this defense is sixth in the league against the rush.
01:12 So a little bit tougher for him between the tackles.
01:15 So you're gonna see, I think, a lot more Christian McCaffrey
01:17 going here in the passing game, which is important.
01:19 If you're looking at the last two games,
01:21 17 targets over the last two games for McCaffrey.
01:24 So I think on draft Kings at that price,
01:27 a little more appealing
01:28 if you're gonna spend all the way up,
01:29 but it is very tough, I think,
01:31 to do that and get that return.
01:33 I think Tampa's actually gonna be pretty plucky
01:35 in this game.
01:36 I like them to cover in this game today,
01:37 to tell you the truth.
01:38 Baker Mayfield, last few weeks,
01:40 they've covered a lot of games,
01:41 including that crazy shootout just two weeks ago
01:44 with the Houston Texans where they put up 30 plus.
01:47 So I think that Tampa can hang here with San Francisco,
01:51 even though San Fran looked dominant last week,
01:53 that pass rush with Chase Young looked really good
01:55 along with Bosa on the other side.
01:57 McCaffrey is still a tough sell for me at this price point,
01:59 to be honest with you.
02:00 So for me to go up to 10K for McCaffrey,
02:02 it's gotta be an absolute smash matchup.
02:05 In cash games, I get it, but in tournaments,
02:06 I think it's a really tough sell.
02:08 So for me, I'm gonna pass on McCaffrey again this week,
02:10 just like last week, I did not have Clairvoyance.
02:13 I did not know he was not going to score a touchdown,
02:16 but I expect him to get back on track.
02:18 Regardless, I just think I'm gonna need
02:20 a little bit more budget to spread around my lineups
02:23 this week.
