00:00 I can't tell you how embarrassed I am, folks.
00:03 I'm really sorry about this, everyone.
00:06 Welcome to "Miss Mojo."
00:07 And today, we'll be looking at the worst relatives
00:10 in both Disney and Pixar animated feature films.
00:13 For all you poor, unfortunate souls
00:15 who may not have seen all these movies,
00:17 this is your spoiler alert.
00:18 You want me to be the bad guy?
00:21 Fine.
00:23 Now I'm the bad guy.
00:26 Number 10, King Agnarr and Queen Aduna.
00:29 Frozen, parenting isn't always easy,
00:32 especially when one of your daughters has special powers.
00:35 Before their tragic demise, the King and Queen of Arendelle
00:38 were forced to make some very difficult decisions
00:41 after learning Elsa was a bit different from other kids.
00:44 She can learn to control it, I'm sure.
00:46 Until then, we'll lock the gates.
00:50 We'll reduce the staff.
00:52 We will limit her contact with people.
00:54 Seeing how her powers may be a cause for concern,
00:58 the two decided to shelter their daughter entirely.
01:01 While their intent may have been noble,
01:02 especially after Anna's injury, the decision
01:05 to conceal Elsa's abilities only caused suffering
01:08 for both of their daughters in the long run.
01:10 What did I ever do to you?
01:12 Enough, Anna.
01:13 No, why?
01:14 Why do you shut me out?
01:15 Why do you shut the world out?
01:17 What are you so afraid of?
01:19 I said enough!
01:21 The Ice Queen is able to repair her broken relationship
01:24 with her sister, and they save the kingdom.
01:26 But it all could have been avoided
01:28 if only Elsa had been taught to embrace her differences
01:31 rather than stifle them.
01:32 I like the open gates.
01:34 We are never closing them again.
01:36 Oh, Elsa, they're beautiful, but you know I don't scare--
01:41 Come on, you can do it.
01:44 Number nine, Amos, Chief, and Copper, the Fox and the Hound.
01:48 Ain't nothing but a hound dog and a hunting dog and hunter.
01:52 A movie about the friendship between two sweet animals
01:55 may sound like a perfect heartwarming plot,
01:58 but that's only scratching the surface.
02:00 You're my very best friend.
02:03 And you're mine too, Todd.
02:05 And we'll always be friends forever, won't we, friend?
02:09 Yeah, forever.
02:11 Todd the Fox and Copper the Hound Dog
02:13 begin as the best of friends, despite the fact
02:16 that they're two different species.
02:18 As they grow older, however, Copper
02:20 is heavily influenced by his owner, Amos,
02:22 and their hunting dog, Chief.
02:24 We're still friends, aren't we?
02:26 Todd, those days are over.
02:33 I'm a hunting dog now.
02:35 The three hunt Todd under the justification
02:37 that it's in their nature.
02:39 Eventually, tensions force Todd's owner
02:41 to abandon him for his own safety.
02:44 Amos absolutely did not deserve Todd's loyalty and valiance
02:47 at the end.
02:48 That's all we'll say.
02:49 Well, come on, boy.
02:54 Let's go home.
02:56 Number eight, Aunt Sarah, Lady and the Tramp.
02:59 Coming, Aunt Sarah.
03:00 Coming.
03:02 Sorry I'm late, dears.
03:03 Hope I haven't kept you waiting.
03:05 You have to be a certain type of evil to hate animals.
03:08 If they're not slurping spaghetti or chasing strays,
03:11 Lady and the Tramp end up in some very scary situations.
03:14 When the dears take a vacation, they
03:16 ask Aunt Sarah to watch the newborn and lady
03:19 while they're away.
03:20 Good gracious, what are you doing here?
03:23 Go on now.
03:24 Shoo, shoo.
03:24 Scat.
03:25 Get out of here.
03:26 Sarah and her Siamese cats aren't exactly
03:28 thrilled with the task.
03:30 Poor Lady is framed by the mischievous felines,
03:33 leading Sarah to muzzle her.
03:35 Later, she would be chained up in the backyard
03:37 and locked away in the cellar, too.
03:39 Oh, don't even mention that horrible place.
03:43 I was so embarrassed and frightened.
03:47 With the borderline abuse of her family's beloved pet,
03:50 it's safe to say Aunt Sarah is not a dog person.
03:53 Number seven, Hopper and Molt, A Bug's Life.
03:57 Something about these brothers really bugs us.
04:00 But ants.
04:01 I swear, if I hadn't promised Mother on her deathbed
04:05 that I wouldn't kill you, I would kill you.
04:07 And believe me, no one appreciates that more than I do.
04:09 A group of aggressive grasshoppers
04:11 plot to exploit an unsuspecting ant farm
04:14 after one ant named Flick accidentally
04:17 destroys the food rations meant for the grasshoppers.
04:20 Led by Hopper with the aid of his brother Molt,
04:22 the insects take any opportunity to terrorize the ant kingdom.
04:26 Still, it's obvious who's in charge between the two of them.
04:30 I don't want to hear another word out of you
04:32 while we're on this island.
04:33 Do you understand me?
04:35 I said, do you understand me?
04:37 Well, how can I answer?
04:37 You said I couldn't say another word.
04:39 Remember, Ma?
04:40 Hopper is the one leading the whole plan,
04:42 and he's not very kind to his brother.
04:44 Especially when the latter begins to have second thoughts.
04:47 Hopper is all about scare tactics
04:49 and exerting power over others.
04:51 And unfortunately, Molt is on the receiving end of that too.
04:54 What?
04:55 You're right.
04:56 I didn't think it was such a good idea myself.
04:57 Actually, it wasn't even my idea.
04:59 It was Axel and Loco's.
05:00 They talked fancy to me.
05:01 I got confused.
05:03 Number six, Hades, Hercules.
05:06 If you thought Disney would ease up on the villain behavior
05:08 for a kids movie, you'd be wrong.
05:10 The god of the underworld gets this story off to a hot start
05:15 by planning to murder his newborn nephew.
05:17 They're immortal?
05:18 Bingo!
05:18 They're immortal!
05:19 So first you're going to turn the little sunspot--
05:24 mortal.
05:27 OK, sure.
05:28 Hades' bumbling minions ultimately
05:30 fail, which leads the hot-headed god
05:31 to make it his life's mission to find and eliminate Hercules.
05:35 He sticks numerous monsters on the young hero, who
05:37 mostly comes out on top.
05:38 (SINGING) For he's the hero.
05:40 Now he's the hero.
05:41 [SCREAMING]
05:43 Oh, my god.
05:46 Yes, indeed.
05:48 Perhaps even more damaging is the fact
05:50 that Hades uses Hercules' love for Meg against him,
05:54 bartering the damsel's life in exchange
05:56 for the loss of his powers.
05:57 Let's not forget Hades' horrifying river of souls.
06:01 Who wants to compete for worst uncle ever?
06:03 You get her out.
06:04 She goes.
06:06 You stay.
06:07 [MUSIC PLAYING]
06:10 Oh, you know what's on my mind?
06:11 You'll be dead before you can get to her.
06:13 That's not a problem, is it?
06:15 Number five, the wicked stepfamily, Cinderella.
06:19 This one may make your mother-in-law
06:21 seem like she's not that bad.
06:23 Jealous and malicious, the Tremains
06:25 treat Cinderella like their personal maid.
06:27 Watch them.
06:30 Oh, yes, and the tapestries and the draperies.
06:34 But I just finished--
06:34 Do them again.
06:35 She's completely stripped of her autonomy,
06:38 despite the family living off of her late father's fortune.
06:41 Do we even have to remind you of how
06:43 Drizella and Anastasia ripped up the dress that once
06:46 belonged to Cinderella's birth mom?
06:48 Give that here.
06:49 Oh, no.
06:49 Oh, and look, that's my sash wearing my sash.
06:52 She can't.
06:53 You wicked little--
06:54 Oh, hold on.
06:55 The heartbreak and abuse this poor orphan suffered
06:58 is unmatched.
06:59 By the end of the movie, her stepmom
07:01 is still taking drastic measures to ensure Cinderella
07:03 doesn't get to leave.
07:04 No, please.
07:06 Oh, you can't do this.
07:07 You just can't.
07:09 Let me out.
07:10 You must let me out.
07:11 You can't keep me in here.
07:14 Number four, Mother Gothel, Tangled.
07:17 This woman was evil before the story even began.
07:21 Mother Gothel acts as the adoptive parent to Rapunzel,
07:24 except the adoption was more of a kidnapping.
07:27 In a quest for eternal youth, Gothel
07:29 steals a baby whose powers lie in her golden locks.
07:33 Gothel broke into the castle, stole the child,
07:35 and just like that, gone.
07:39 To ensure that her true decrepit identity is never revealed,
07:43 she locks Rapunzel away in a tower.
07:45 Mother Gothel is a master manipulator
07:47 and convinces her daughter that the world outside
07:50 is too dangerous, only in order to preserve the eternal youth
07:53 Rapunzel provides her.
07:55 Why would you ask such a ridiculous question?
07:57 It was you.
07:59 It was all you.
08:01 Everything I did was to protect you.
08:04 Selfishness is only the beginning.
08:06 Her evil nature is taken to another level
08:09 when she plots to kill Rapunzel's potential suitor.
08:12 What's the point in being a good person
08:14 if you can stay young forever, right?
08:16 We're joking, of course.
08:17 Rapunzel, really.
08:19 [GRUNTING]
08:20 Enough already.
08:21 Stop fighting me.
08:23 Number three, Evil Queen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
08:27 What would stop me?
08:29 The Seven Dwarfs.
08:30 What wouldst thou know, my queen?
08:34 Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?
08:39 Magic mirror on the wall, who's the craziest one of all?
08:43 Once again, jealousy rears its vain head between stepmother
08:46 and stepdaughter.
08:48 After Snow White is orphaned, the queen
08:50 becomes her only guardian.
08:51 This would be fine if Snow White's beauty and angelic voice
08:54 didn't make her want to get rid of her daughter.
08:57 But in a wild assassination attempt,
08:59 the Evil Queen decides to take matters into her own hands.
09:03 Not only is this premeditated, it's elaborate.
09:06 The poisoned apple doesn't even kill her.
09:09 The idea was to have her be buried alive.
09:12 No fear of that.
09:14 The dwarfs will think she's dead.
09:17 She'll be buried alive.
09:20 Yeah, the queen doesn't get the evil title for no reason.
09:24 Claude Frollo, the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
09:27 As kids, we don't think we realize just how bad this guy
09:30 really is.
09:32 Judge Claude Frollo kills a woman
09:34 for seeking refuge in Paris, leaving
09:36 her baby without a mother.
09:38 After noticing the kid is different,
09:39 Frollo tries to get rid of him, too.
09:42 This is an unholy demon.
09:43 I'm sending it back to hell where it belongs.
09:46 See there, the innocent blood you have spilt
09:49 on the steps of Notre Dame.
09:51 I am guiltless.
09:52 Unsuccessful in his second attempt at murder,
09:55 he is forced to raise the child as punishment,
09:58 which realistically is more of a punishment for the child.
10:01 He chooses ableism when naming the child Quasimodo,
10:05 literally meaning half-formed.
10:07 Quasimodo, can't you understand?
10:10 When your heartless mother abandoned you as a child,
10:13 anyone else would have drowned you.
10:15 But it doesn't stop there.
10:17 The judge sequesters Quasimodo and goes
10:19 on a witch hunt for the beautiful Esmeralda.
10:22 Because if he can't have her, nobody can.
10:25 Oh, and this is all done under the guise of piety.
10:28 Choose me or your pyre.
10:32 Be mine or you will burn.
10:38 Before we unveil our top pick, here
10:40 are a few honorable mentions.
10:42 Mr. Scorfino, Luca.
10:44 Alberto counts the days since his father abandoned him.
10:47 I started when my dad left.
10:50 You were living here alone for that many days?
10:56 I just stopped counting after a while.
10:58 Kerchak, Tarzan.
10:59 Kerchak never truly accepted Tarzan as his own.
11:03 Then you may keep him.
11:06 Kerchak, I know he'll be a good son.
11:08 I said he could stay.
11:11 That doesn't make him my son.
11:13 Mr. Darling, Peter Pan.
11:15 A father who berates his children for being imaginative.
11:18 Wendy, haven't I warned you?
11:20 Stuffing the boys' heads with a lot of silly stories.
11:23 Oh, but they aren't.
11:24 I say they are.
11:26 Captain Croak, Peter Pirate.
11:28 The great prince of the forest, Bambi.
11:31 So absent that his own son doesn't recognize him.
11:34 He stopped and looked at me.
11:37 Yes, I know.
11:40 Why was everyone stale when he came on the meadow?
11:43 King Triton, the Little Mermaid.
11:45 Destroys Ariel's things to make sure she doesn't leave.
11:49 I am going to get through to you.
11:51 And if this is the only way, so be it.

12:14 Number one, Scar, the Lion King.
12:18 If he can't be king, you might as well kill him,
12:20 even if he's your own brother.
12:22 Don't do that.
12:22 It's horrible.
12:23 Oh, I shall practice my courtesy.
12:26 Don't turn your back on me, Scar.
12:29 Oh, no, Mufasa.
12:30 Perhaps you shouldn't turn your back on me.
12:33 Arguably one of the most savage villains in Disney history,
12:36 Scar broke all of our hearts in the '90s.
12:39 His brother Mufasa rules the kingdom,
12:41 which will eventually be passed down to his next of kin, Simba.
12:45 And that's the last straw for Scar.
12:47 Long live the king.
12:49 After dropping Mufasa to his horrific death,
13:02 Scar takes the crown for his own and wreaks havoc
13:05 on the kingdom.
13:06 Pride is definitely not an issue for the lion,
13:09 as he tells any lie he can to gain Simba's trust,
13:13 just before trying to carry out his murderous legacy again.
13:16 This is just the way your father looked before he died.
13:21 And here's my little secret.
13:26 I killed Mufasa.
13:29 Just go ahead and toss those family values off the cliff.
13:32 Every hero has their villain.
13:33 Let us know which wicked relatives
13:35 should be added to our next list in the comments below.
13:38 Well, forgive me for not leaping for joy.
13:40 Bad back, you know.
13:42 Do you agree with our picks?
