00:00 If you are still looking to find those one-of-a-kind gifts or a piece of art that speaks to your soul,
00:06 a Fine Arts and Crafts Festival out in Fountain Hills might be the place for you.
00:10 Joining us is Hannah Toth to tell us more about this amazing festival. Hannah, welcome!
00:14 Hi, thank you so much for having me. I am so glad to welcome you to the Fountain Festival of Fine
00:23 Arts and Crafts. We're celebrating our 49th year of this event. Our vendors are still getting ready.
00:29 We don't technically open until 10, but I thought we could take a sneak peek real quick at a few of
00:34 our wonderful artists. Absolutely. We have our western artwork over here that you can kind of
00:39 see in the frame, but we're approaching a metal artist that makes some really unique wall art
00:45 with different colors. It's really fascinating how they create these pieces. You can see we have so
00:52 many different metalworks in the festival if you walk the whole show, but each of them have a
00:57 different strategy for creating their work, a different way that they create their colors,
01:02 whether that's through heat or through paint or other methods of showing off these beautiful,
01:09 beautiful creations. I take so much pride in our artwork here. The celebration of fine art in
01:15 Fountain Hills is so important to me. I was born and raised here in town, so I've been going to
01:20 this show since before I could walk, and now I have the honor of bragging about it on TV. It's
01:25 pretty cool. Yeah, that's amazing. I absolutely love everything you're showing us. It looks
01:30 beautiful, and so this starts today and runs all the way until Sunday, correct?
01:34 Yes, yes. We are starting today, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and then we'll run Sunday, 10 to 4 p.m.,
01:45 so we got Friday and Saturday, 10 to 5, and Sunday, 10 to 4. Just as a reminder,
01:50 you can find art of every single category here, from wall art to sculptures to culinary to jewelry
01:56 to clothing to glass. Everything that you can think of is here at the Fountain Festival. It is
02:02 the perfect spot to do your holiday shopping, to get that unique piece for your house or for another.
02:10 It is the season of giving, so you will find something that's a perfect match for you and a
02:15 perfect match for all of your friends and family here at the Fountain Festival. Oh, Hannah, I love
02:21 it. Okay, so I do have a quick question for you that's not related to this exact festival, but I
02:27 know you guys have your Spring Festival coming up, and I know you're taking applications right now
02:31 for that, right? We are. Our applications are currently open to artists, and I did kind of
02:40 hint at it. I mentioned that this one is the 49th, so that means that our next Spring anniversary is
02:46 the 50th anniversary of the Fountain Festival, so we're going to have a lot of special stuff
02:52 for the February event. It's February 23rd through the 25th, and those applications,
02:56 the deadline is December 1st. Oh, I love that. Okay, well, if you didn't make it in for this 49th
03:04 festival, then the 50th is coming up. That's really, really exciting, and Hannah, show us a
03:09 little bit more about what you guys got going on down there. I mean, we saw the metal, we see the
03:12 glass. What about clothing? What about anything else? Is there something for everybody out there?
03:18 Oh, there sure is. There is something for everybody. So we did pass by clothing over here.
03:26 There's some very lovely work. We've got our artist here that's creating one right in front
03:32 of us. How amazing is that? Beautiful. And Hannah, what about food? Do you have any food,
03:39 drink, anything like that out there? We have plenty of food, so we're going to pass by these
03:46 Christmas wreaths right here, and then we are arriving at our Verde River Food Court, which is
03:53 one of four food courts at the festival, so we have about any food that you could imagine as well.
04:00 We've got kettle corn and ice cream are the most easily seen, but we've got Mexican, we've got our
04:06 beer garden hosted by the local VFW chapter, got Wetzel's pretzels, we've got the Fountain Hills
04:12 food cart, which is a local delight. We love the Fountain Hills food cart here in Fountain Hills,
04:17 and any of your local vendors, really, you'll be able to see here at the show. So if you are
04:24 familiar with Fountain Hills, you'll see some of your favorite restauranteurs here as well.
04:29 Oh, Hannah, I love it. It sounds like it is the perfect festival for everybody to come out
04:34 to eat, to drink, to get an amazing holiday gift, and it starts today and runs all the way
04:40 through Sunday. Really quickly, tell us where you can find more information for those who are looking.
04:44 Yes, for any more information, either download the Visit Fountain Hills mobile app
04:51 or head to FountainHillsArtFairs.com for information about the show, or come see us
04:56 at the Chamber Info booth. We're right here at Verde River and Avenue of the Fountains in Fountain
05:01 Hills. Oh, Hannah, that's awesome. I love it. All right, thank you for that sneak peek. It looks
05:05 absolutely fantastic, and the weather is amazing, so this is the perfect day to go out and enjoy.
05:11 All right, guys, stick around. We have more of The Mix coming up after this.
