00:00 Miami Dolphins are taking on the New York Jets.
00:01 Now, Davis, I want to set this up because obviously this game wasn't going to be flexed
00:05 on a Friday.
00:06 But if you start the season and Amazon's like, "We want to do something really cool.
00:10 We want to start a new tradition."
00:11 And then a fella's probably like, "You know what?
00:12 My ears are open on this one.
00:14 How can we make more money?
00:15 Let's put a game on Black Friday."
00:17 Genius.
00:18 Well, let's start this with a bang.
00:20 How about Aaron Rodgers and Tua Tagovailoa?
00:22 How about maybe the two best teams in the AFC tangling this late in the season in a
00:26 centerpiece standalone game?
00:28 And yet we get here the Jets, a nine and a half point underdog at home against the
00:34 Miami Dolphins because we have Tim Boyle at starting quarterback.
00:38 So let's start from there.
00:39 Boyle inserted for the Jets over Zach Wilson, a total of 41.
00:43 What are we looking at this football game here from your side, Davis?
00:47 You are looking at one offense that's really good, that knows how to get the ball to their
00:52 skill position players, that knows how to make everyone a little bit better, right?
00:58 You know, really for the sum to be greater than the whole of their parts.
01:02 And then you are looking at a team that is starting Tim Boyle, who in his career at the
01:07 University of Connecticut, threw one touchdown pass and 13 interceptions.
01:12 And certainly you might say, "Well, how's that guy, an NFL starting quarterback?
01:16 Maybe he's been better in the NFL."
01:19 You would be wrong.
01:20 Tim Boyle has not been better in the NFL.
01:22 In his career, he has thrown three touchdown passes.
01:26 He has thrown nine interceptions.
01:28 By the way, one of those touchdown passes did come, you guessed it, when he was playing
01:34 for the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving.
01:36 We did see some Tim Boyle on Thanksgiving in the past.
01:39 Speaking of the formerly forlorn Detroit Lions, I just, you know, this is a, I think the Jets
01:46 have been criminally negligent with the way they've handled the quarterback because the
01:50 AFC actually not as strong this year as you would have imagined.
01:54 I think heading into the year, we're like, "Oh, all the good teams are in the AFC."
01:57 The Bills kind of stink.
01:59 The Bengals, even before Joe Burrow was out for the year, like legitimately were a threat
02:03 to miss the playoffs, even if Joe Burrow played the entire year.
02:07 And there were a lot of quarterbacks available.
02:09 I mean, one, I think this team could have won the division with Joe Flacco, a quarterback,
02:14 right?
02:15 But I actually, I got an even bigger bone to pick.
02:17 Nathan Rourke, who was the, I mean, he was the best quarterback in the preseason by a
02:22 mile.
02:23 He has been on the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad all year, means he can get claimed by
02:28 any team at any time, including the New York footballing Jets.
02:31 And he is far from the only guy, right?
02:33 I mean, even Bailey Zappi, Malik Cunningham sitting there on the Patriots practice squad
02:37 all year due to the way the Patriots handle their roster.
02:41 The Jets just make me so irrationally angry because they're wasting this.
02:45 I mean, what do they have, the third best defense in the NFL?
02:47 And they have Garrett Wilson, they have Brees Hall in these rookie contracts, and they're
02:51 wasting it.
02:52 It is, it's a huge pain to me.
