Do people think it is too early to start putting up Christmas decorations?

In its weekly voxpop, the Advertiser found out people’s opinion on Christmas decorations, is it too soon or just in time?

00:13 day and what's worse is when they play music on the radio. Christmas songs in October.

00:21 That I agree with but for shopping and little market towns and everything like that it should

00:35 be thinking of Christmas decorations but my husband's birthday is on the 14th of December

00:39 so he would rather that we didn't decorate until after that.

00:42 No I don't. I think if you want to put them up early, you can put them up early. Like

00:47 people find their own ways of experiencing joy so they want to put them up earlier than

00:53 sure and plus fairy lights are always lovely to see.

00:56 Ok so Christmas decorations, I think this weekend's probably a bit early. Next weekend

01:01 would be better, proper December time. We don't do our internal decorations until 2

01:09 weeks before Christmas. So that's a bit early.

01:29 too. I love to see Christmas lights on and my little granddaughter, she lives with me

01:44 Christmas is a joyful time for everybody. Christmas to some people is for everybody,

01:50 for their children, their families. There are some people who celebrate Christmas every

01:54 day sometimes. Christmas is the spirit of Christmas, the birth of Jesus and in the church,

02:02 people go to church and remember it. It's not commercial for Christmas but I still think

02:07 it can be commercial and it should be the birth of Jesus that should be special for

02:14 people's lives that came down to save us. It gets into people's spirit I think. It's

02:18 good to have the Christmas decorations up because it gets everybody warm to get warm

02:22 for Christmas and brings families together and gets the children excited and that sort

02:26 of thing, you know.
