00:00 Alex Madison has maybe taken some criticism this year.

00:03 I know you're not concerned about outside noise,

00:04 but I was wondering if you could just kind of highlight

00:06 some of the things that he does at that position

00:08 that you like.

00:10 Yeah, I think Alex has been incredibly

00:14 consistent in his role kind of in every phase of our offense.

00:19 I think there's been some things that he's kind of made

00:22 come to life even in this last game

00:24 where maybe it wasn't blocked as clean as we had hoped,

00:27 or we got an unscouted look, or whatever it was.

00:29 And Alex found a way to turn out some yards and stay efficient.

00:34 I like how physical he runs.

00:36 I think he does a really nice job in the protection phase.

00:40 I think he does a nice job catching the ball out

00:42 of the backfield when we can give him a chance

00:44 and turn those into opportunities.

00:47 As far as the criticism goes, it's not something

00:50 that we were really concerned with.

00:53 The one thing I'd say is--

00:54 one thing I've talked to Alex about

00:56 is just the ball security and just how important that

00:59 is for him to continue to be able to turn out yards

01:03 and get opportunities.

01:05 And for us as an offense, we can't put the ball on the ground

01:07 and Alex knows that.

01:10 I like kind of the mix we have right now.

01:12 Ty's getting a few more carries to kind of provide maybe

01:16 a little bit more burst and athleticism,

01:18 but they complement each other well with how we're using them.

01:22 And we'll continue to figure out what that balance looks like.

01:26 But I feel good in a year where we've

01:28 needed a little bit of depth at that position.

01:32 I feel good about where those two guys are at.
