Joel Bitonio on Browns Culture and Brotherhood
Transcript
00:00 You know, I think when you can keep a general manager, a head coach, coaching staff together,
00:09 you get to keep more of the core players, you know what I mean?
00:12 And so since Andrew Barry's been here, you get the Miles, you get the Wyatts,
00:17 you get guys that have been along for four years now that can grow together and build together.
00:21 When you have those friendships, you bring other people into it.
00:24 Then you go to the Greenbrier and you kind of have to hang out with each other.
00:28 It grows into a culture.
00:30 And then the offense talks about it a lot where you play for the guy next to you.
00:36 You got a left tackle next to you, you got a center next to you.
00:38 You can't let those guys down.
00:40 And so it kind of builds in a brotherhood.
00:43 But then when you start winning these close games and you start seeing the defense get a pick six
00:48 to help us improve and win a game, you just build it together.
00:53 And you realize, hey, we've got to do this together.
00:56 It's never going to come easy.
00:58 But if the offense steps up once, the defense steps up, the special teams steps up once,
01:02 it's special and you can feel the group growing tighter and tighter together.
