00:01 you said that B-Flow has even maybe exceeded

00:05 What have you made of just the coaching job he's done
00:07 and the way that it seems like different guys step up
00:09 on that side every week?
00:10 Yeah, I think I've really enjoyed watching the way he's
00:14 really brought out the best in some of our core players.
00:18 I mean, getting to see guys like Daniel Hunter and DJ Wannum
00:21 have the seasons they're having, Harrison Smith,
00:23 and I think all Vikings fans were excited probably
00:26 to see 22 down around the line of scrimmage,
00:29 pressure, and again, being a part of some of those things,
00:32 as was I.
00:33 And then you look at some of the young players
00:36 that have developed, like an IP at the linebacker position,
00:40 Makai and Akalob.
00:42 And then we're very deep at the safety spot.
00:45 So the smart coach that he is, he's
00:47 found a way to maximize Josh Metellus for the great player
00:51 that he is, while still allowing Cam Bynum and Harry
00:54 to really thrive in their roles, getting guys like Harrison
00:58 Phillips and Jonathan Bullard and Tonga maximizing their
01:03 ability to impact the game as well.
01:05 And it still all comes with an all-11 feel,
01:07 where it feels like they're all working together.
01:10 The communication is clean.
01:11 The operation is clean.
01:14 Total credit to Flo and his staff.
01:16 And I think the way they've evolved throughout the season,
01:19 I've really admired just taking something and making it better
01:22 and not just relying on what maybe last Sunday looked like,
01:26 but how can we make this morph and continue to grow and be
01:29 the 2023 Vikings defense, regardless of Flo's past
01:33 or Serravo or Durante or any of our other defensive coaches
01:36 pet.
01:37 It's kind of a think tank world, where I told Flo the other day,
01:42 it kind of rivals what I've tried
01:43 to do on offense with Wes and Ang and Koop and Key and Maude
01:48 and all of our guys.
01:49 And it's just that's what my goal was.
01:51 When you interview for jobs as a head coach,
01:53 you have to have a plan for what your hope of the staff will be.
01:57 And Flo has basically come in here and done all that.
02:01 And then some.
02:02 He's made me a better coach.
02:04 And he certainly helped a lot of our players,
02:06 which is the most important thing.
