London Cycling Campaign (LCC) has identified the area where Ansell Road, Derinton Road, Price Close and Lessingham Avenue intersect with the A24, Upper Tooting Road as the most hazardous intersect for cyclists in the capital. Upper Tooting Road is part of the TfL Cycle Superhighway CS7.

Using the latest emergency services Stats19 collision data, the charity found 11 serious and 18 slight injuries were recorded at the junction between 2018 and 2022.

00:00 A junction in Tooting has been named London's most dangerous for cyclists in a recent report
00:05 by London's cycling campaign.
00:08 It said an intersect on Upper Tooting Road has seen the most cycling injuries in the
00:12 last five years in the capital.
00:15 In Tooting I'm new so I just saw only two within 15 days.
00:19 Within two weeks only two accidents.
00:21 Otherwise if I had it, people are used to it.
00:24 They say when an accident happens they say oh, it's normal for them.
00:27 For me it was something terrible.
00:30 I feel fine. I think, you know, it's not on a hill so you're going at a nice speed.
00:36 I mean obviously if it's busier times of day then I would say if you're not a strong cyclist
00:40 I wouldn't recommend it but I mean that's just, it depends how confident you feel on your bike really.
