00:02 - We'll start with Travis Etienne.
00:04 20 and a half receiving yards, over or under,
00:08 and I know you'll give us the recent performance
00:10 and what you think this week will give us.
00:13 Joe, thoughts?
00:14 - Well, look, recent trends are always something
00:16 to take into account, but you have to pay most attention
00:19 to the matchup itself.
00:21 And we keep talking about, all right,
00:22 if you are the Jaguars, how do you go on the road
00:25 and how do you come out with a victory here?
00:26 And I think it's running the football
00:28 and getting Travis Etienne working in the passing game
00:30 as well.
00:31 Now, you have a full complement of weapons here
00:32 for Trevor Lawrence, so there's a lot of targets
00:34 to go around.
00:35 That being said, when you have that,
00:37 that's actually been the better times for Travis Etienne.
00:41 If you go back and look at the game log of Etienne,
00:43 he had four straight weeks leading up to the bye
00:46 where he went over this number.
00:47 48 yards receiving, 28, 24, and then 70.
00:52 Then the bye hits.
00:53 San Francisco game is a complete disaster.
00:55 Trevor Lawrence has zero time to throw the football.
00:57 Okay, we throw that one out.
00:58 And then last week against Tennessee,
01:00 also a team that's very good up front.
01:01 Now, the Texans are not quite at that level.
01:04 So I think we get back to the Travis Etienne
01:06 in the over on the receiving yards,
01:08 'cause I think you need him working
01:10 in this football game this way.
01:11 I think this is a very important cog in terms of
01:13 not only trying to get him going again,
01:16 but also running out clock, controlling the football,
01:19 controlling the tempo of this game a little bit.
01:21 You don't want this to look like the game
01:24 that was in Houston a few weeks ago,
01:25 where you're trading barbs back and forth here
01:28 with Baker Mayfield, and this game goes crazy.
01:30 And then Houston has the ball one last time
01:32 and they will win the football game.
01:34 That's not what you want if you're the Jacksonville Jaguars.
01:36 So that being said, a lot of touches for Travis Etienne.
01:39 I think that's on the docket.
01:41 And I know people will look at this recency since the bye
01:45 and say, he hasn't hit this number in two weeks.
01:47 Let's go under.
01:49 I don't think this one's an under.
01:50 I think this one's an over.
01:51 And I think it's a mandatory over for him.
01:54 You want to get this defense of the Texans running up and down
01:56 the sidelines.
01:57 You want to get them going left to right.
01:58 You want them to get a little tired, a little gassed here.
02:01 And then you take your shots downfield
02:03 against the secondary.
02:04 And then you're going to take your shots there
02:06 with the Calvin Ridley's of the world
02:07 and Christian Kirk's of the world.
02:09 So for me, even though the recent trend has not
02:11 been the over on this number, I will go back
02:13 to the basics of the Jaguars looking better.
02:16 And I will go back to this game.
02:17 And I think, again, there's enough there
02:19 on the other side for Houston to take care of their business
02:22 offensively to keep pushing this total.
02:25 Last week, you didn't get this number
02:26 because the Jags were in control of that game.
02:28 Two weeks ago, you didn't get this number
02:30 because the Jags were not in control of that game.
02:32 They got absolutely obliterated by the 49ers.
02:34 So now we get back to a little bit of normalization,
02:37 a more contested game.
02:39 I think a contested game means an over for this 20 and 1/2
02:41 receiving yards for Travis ATM.
