00:00 Good Sunday afternoon, Texas A&M Aggies fans.
00:06 It's IndyCarTim with your Texas A&M Aggies Daily Blitz.
00:09 Breaking news in Aggieland today.
00:11 No, it's not the news that you want it to be.
00:15 No head coach yet, although we're hearing rumblings.
00:20 Nothing confirmed, but we're hearing rumblings that it's Mike Elko.
00:26 But that's not the breaking news today.
00:28 The breaking news as of right now, Aggies quarterback Max Johnson enters the NCAA transfer
00:34 portal.
00:35 He is the next big name to enter the portal here in this kind of offseason as the break
00:40 between the regular season and the bowl games kick off.
00:45 He's a fourth year redshirt sophomore.
00:47 He enters as a graduate transfer, and he's got two more years of eligibility wherever
00:52 he goes to his next school.
00:55 For four seasons at LSU and Texas A&M, he's completed 16.5% of his passes, 5,853 yards,
01:03 47 touchdowns, 12 interceptions.
01:06 He completed 62.1% of his passes for 1,452 yards and nine touchdowns with five interceptions
01:12 over eight appearances, including five starts.
01:15 So of course, he took over this season for the Aggies when Connor Wigman went down with
01:19 that foot injury in week four.
01:21 He started the next five games.
01:23 He then suffered a rib injury against Ole Miss, causing him to miss A&M's last three
01:27 games here.
01:28 He, of course, transferred to A&M from LSU ahead of the 2022 season, losing out to Hanes
01:34 King inexplicably for the starting job last year.
01:40 But I've always been a Max Johnson fan.
01:43 You wonder what that's going to do, if that will affect the status of his brother, the
01:49 number one overall tight end recruit at A&M, Jake Johnson.
01:54 We know they kind of came to A&M as a pair.
01:57 So we'll see what happens there.
01:58 But Jake Johnson, you know, his future with A&M, no, no announcements on that yet.
02:03 Max Johnson entering the transfer portal for the NCAA.
02:08 He will not be your quarterback under whoever the new head coach is in Aggieland.
02:13 More details on that as they become available, but whispers, Mike Elko, could be Mike Elko.
02:20 I appreciate you guys tuning in for the Aggies Daily Blitz.
02:23 I'm Indy Cartham.
02:24 We'll do it again right here on Fan Stream Sports.
02:26 Until then, boys and girls, we'll see you.
