00:00 Lake Effect snow left its mark on the Great Lakes and the Northeast this week
00:04 and after getting a brief break the start to December could usher in more
00:08 cold and snow for those same areas. Bernie Raynaud spoke with ACCUA the
00:11 long-range expert Joe Lundberg about what you can expect heading into next
00:15 week. Well certainly a stormy end to this week but what about next week?
00:24 Meteorologist Joe Lundberg joins me now. Joe and what are the three things we
00:28 need to be ready for for next week? Probably not all that stormy Bernie in
00:32 fact if you look at our number one headline for next week tranquil for much
00:36 of the country is a big ridge of high pressure takes over now there will be a
00:39 little clipper system not a big storm but maybe a little snow with that it
00:43 will drag cold into the east and it turns milder from the Plain States and
00:46 then eventually spreads all the way to the eastern seaboard late next week. You
00:49 know let's take a look at early next week Joe a couple of little systems
00:52 diving southeastward. Yes. That's gonna bring some cold air into the east. Yeah
00:57 you look early next week Bernie you've got one system leaving the northeast so
00:59 there may be some higher elevation snow with that in the endgame but then take a
01:03 look at this little feature up in here as that dive southeastern Monday into
01:06 Tuesday it will pull some colder air into it that's our clipper there may be
01:10 a little snow with it but I think the main impact of that as we go to
01:13 Wednesday look at this trough that you see here in the east so that means
01:16 another blast of Arctic air it'll be short-lived but if you look at this
01:19 overall that reflects the upper-level pattern for next week with all this warm
01:23 air starting to build in the eastern Rockies spreading across the plains it
01:27 will turn milder cold in the east to start the week but it turns warmer note
01:31 in the northwest more storms the pattern through much of next week you know it
01:34 was two weeks ago Joe that we highlighted this storm for you coming
01:38 across the the southern plains and the Midwest and your long-range team you and
01:44 meteorologist Paul Passler have your eye on something in about 10 days concern
01:49 that a system comes through the northwest dives into the southwest and
01:52 southern plains spawns an area of low pressure and then turns northeastern in
01:56 some fashion there's not a lot of cold air with it but just enough maybe on its
01:59 northwest side there could be some snow overall though it could mean some
02:03 beneficial rains for the Ohio Valley and the south
