00:03 Saban, we welcome you back to the SEC championship game. If you could give

00:07 some opening remarks and then we'll open it up for questions. Well, we're

00:11 glad to be here. But first of all, I'd like to congratulate, you know, Kirby

00:14 and Georgia team for going through an undefeated season and went in the east.

00:21 Um, they certainly had a fantastic season and, um, they've proven to be

00:27 one of the best football teams in the country. So this is certainly a

00:31 challenge for us to be able to compete in the SEC championship game against

00:37 such a quality team. Um, you know, I'd like to thank the Southeastern

00:42 Conference for making this one of the greatest venues in college football.

00:46 Mercedes Ben Stadium, the people of Atlanta, all the people who do, um, a

00:52 lot of work to make this game a first class event. Um, you know, our team is

00:58 trying to focus on what they need to do to go play the kind of game that we'll

01:04 need to play to beat a very, very good team. Probably the best team we played

01:09 all year. I think the challenge for you as a player is, um, got to be ready to

01:14 play and assume that the guy you're playing against is the best player you

01:17 played against all year. And I think if you take that approach and channel your

01:21 energy and enthusiasm into execution on the field, that will give you the best

01:25 chance to be successful.
