00:29 for climate change issues is to address emissions
00:32 from the energy and industrial sectors.
00:34 He said under the National Energy Transition Roadmap,
00:37 Malaysia would increase the share of green
00:39 and sustainable energy in its total energy mix.
00:43 He said the energy and industrial sectors still accounted
00:46 for the majority of the country's total carbon emissions.
00:49 He said Malaysia will also create more jobs dedicated
00:52 to the conservation of a greener environment.

01:00 The King also attended the COP28 Leaders Summit
01:04 where world leaders will assess their progress
01:06 in meeting global climate targets,
01:08 specifically the Paris Agreement goal
01:10 of limiting global warming to within two degrees Celsius
01:13 above pre-industrial temperatures.
01:16 - I will do everything in my power
01:18 to channel the momentum you generate at the summit

02:04 at a time when already,
02:07 as scientists have been warning for so long,
02:11 we are seeing alarming tipping points being reached.
