00:30I always, in my meetings, including the meetings of the National Security Council, I emphasize
00:40sometimes in our work, and this is also a mistake in many countries, the focus is only on the
00:53perpetuation of violence, not the element of incitement.
00:59If there is a need for a law, there must be a group, as mentioned by the Minister of Defense
01:06and the Minister of Home Affairs, about funds and the influence of international bodies.
01:14Therefore, counter-terrorism is not only a national effort, but also an international effort.
01:23We support and equitably focus and attempt to ensure there is effective collaboration
01:37between nations.
01:39When I assume the chairmanship of ASEAN next year, I will certainly give this endorsement
01:45that there should be better collaboration among nations within ASEAN to ensure that
01:51we deal with the issue of counter-terrorism in a more effective manner.
01:56It is getting to be more sophisticated.
01:59We are dealing with extremely sophisticated weapons, methods, and for those of you who
02:07are familiar with the works of Qaeda or ISIS, it is not a simple terrorist cell.
02:14It is very elaborate, sophisticated, with enormous funds and intellectual effort being
02:24placed to win the hearts and minds of their followers and to be able to inflict as much
02:34harm as possible to groups that they consider their foes or enemies.
03:05This is in line with the policies of the PDRM and other military forces, as well as other
03:13powers, if there are elements that must be included that are not strong enough in the
03:22laws of the country.
03:24And of course, it will be supported by some, and God willing, we will defend it.
03:30Because no matter how much we want this country to be more mature as a democracy,
03:36one thing that we cannot accept is to allow the country to become a battlefield for the
03:47overbearing people.
03:49Therefore, in our relationship with Hamas, we differentiate our cooperation from the
03:56political and supportive cooperation in the political segment.
04:04And we try, as a small country, to build a relationship between the nation and all,
04:12we try to avoid being involved in any negotiations involving weapons.
04:21But it does not let go of our responsibility to support what we consider to be the right
04:29and to reject the falsehood.
