00:00 Well, full-time here at Anfield, an absolutely pulsating affair.
00:03 Jürgen Klopp just said at a post-match press conference,
00:06 "I bet you no-one predicted that sort of game, an absolute classic."
00:08 And he's absolutely spot-on.
00:09 I don't think anyone could have thought that Liverpool would be in a 4-3 victory against Fulham.
00:15 Taking the lead twice, then going behind.
00:18 It was a pulsating affair.
00:20 I mean, when Liverpool opened the scoring for Trent Alexander-Arnold,
00:23 well, it went down as an old goal for Bert Leno.
00:25 It was a Trent Alexander-Arnold free-kicker, came from there,
00:28 absolutely sublime, hit the bar and came off the Fulham keeper's back and went in.
00:33 Superb. Every goal Liverpool scored was excellent.
00:37 But when went that winning?
00:38 You thought it was going to be a routine victory in the 20th minute.
00:40 You thought Liverpool were going to step their foot on the gas,
00:42 get a few goals ahead, start making changes.
00:45 But it wasn't to be.
00:46 Like that, Fulham equalised pretty soon afterwards.
00:48 Harry Wilson, of course, a Liverpool academy graduate,
00:50 was here for many years, he equalised.
00:52 A disappointing goal for Liverpool to concede, to be quite frank.
00:55 Give the ball away cheaply, Fulham hit them on the counter
00:58 and Wilson ran third off.
01:00 And then Alexis McAllister's bag to Liverpool,
01:02 second and other absolute, probably the pick of them.
01:05 And the ball just fell to them about 25 yards out,
01:08 at an angle, half-volley.
01:11 Just...it didn't need to think about it.
01:13 Let the ball bounce, waited for it to be right
01:16 and just crashed it into the far top corner.
01:18 Unbelievable. But Liverpool were really poor,
01:21 defensively in the first half.
01:25 And they conceded in stoppage time from Kenny Tettey.
01:29 Initially it was ruled out for offside,
01:32 he got there at the front post and just poked it home.
01:35 But VAR reviewed the situation and ruled that Tettey
01:40 was what he looked like at the time, was onside.
01:42 And Liverpool were very lucky not to go in 3-2 behind
01:44 because Tim Ream was then deemed offside
01:47 when Liverpool, again, from a corner, were poor.
01:50 But they were given the reprieve there.
01:52 Second half, Liverpool, they come out a little bit better.
01:55 Darwin Nunes missed a massive chance,
01:57 smashed the bar when he was set free from Salah.
02:00 Missed another one, we couldn't get his feet right.
02:02 Mo Salah at the back post from a corner after Hedda was saved,
02:05 he blazed over.
02:06 And then Fulham took the lead, another poor goal from Liverpool's VAR
02:10 to concede.
02:11 Ryan Gravenberch, who had a disappointing game for me,
02:13 to be honest with you, Gravenberch.
02:16 He gave the ball away and Fulham mustered the counter
02:18 and they finished it off at the back post.
02:21 But Liverpool, they showed fight, they showed desire.
02:23 Maybe an unlikely scoring with Taro Endo coming off the bench.
02:26 I mean, when he came on, you were thinking,
02:28 "Maybe Waz, Jürgen Klopp, bring the defensive midfielder on."
02:30 But it come up trumps.
02:32 He came up, curled a superb finish home into the top corner
02:35 from the edge of the box.
02:36 And Trent Alexander-Arnold,
02:40 just a sublime finish in the 87th minute.
02:43 Controlled it on his thigh in the box
02:45 and then whipped it into the near post.
02:48 Liverpool's perfect record at Anfield here continues.
02:52 They're in the middle of a big run and, to be quite frank,
02:54 it's not about performances this run.
02:56 This run of games, it's hectic.
02:58 It's about results.
02:59 It's about picking them up and seeing where they are
03:00 after this hectic period.
03:03 Another called one here at Anfield.
03:05 But again, Liverpool fans go back,
03:08 back celebrating a great way to end the weekend.
03:10 It ended Liverpool 4-3 Fulham.
