Screenwriter and heiress Jemima Goldsmith said it is "heartbreaking to see the tension and hostility within communities being brought here to Britain" as she attended a vigil for victims of the Israel-Hamas conflict. The ex-wife of Imran Khan was among many famous attendees at the event which was organised to mourn the loss of life on all sides of the Israel-Hamas conflict.

00:00 It's just really heartbreaking seeing that,
00:02 with all the tragedy that's going on in the Middle East,
00:04 that the tension and the hostilities
00:07 and the community division has been brought here to Britain.
00:10 And so there are a lot of people that I love
00:12 who can't sit together at the table at the moment
00:14 and discuss these issues.
00:16 So I'm finding it personally really, really upsetting.
00:21 And so I'm really happy that today is happening
00:24 and that it's a tiny step in the right direction
00:26 of bringing communities back together,
00:28 even if they disagree.
00:31 And, as Rob said, the only way to find solutions
00:35 to hatred and division in communities
00:38 is for people to come together and hear each other
00:42 and understand and empathise with each other's pain.
