00:00 Sports Press Rick Harwin, another $1.3 trillion business in sports with your Maxwell Minute
00:07 brought to you by the Maxwell Football Club.
00:11 Will EA Sports end a settlement with an outlier representing some NIL-worthy players?
00:18 That seems to have been settled and it looks like we're back on track to have EA and college
00:22 football back together again by the summer of 2024.
00:27 There was an issue about how much was entitled or given to the players as a flat fee, a one-time
00:33 licensing fee.
00:35 Some would say it's below market value, others would say let the market decide, not to everybody,
00:41 and that's the standard issue with NIL across the board now anyway.
00:45 After this settlement, the EA deal can be manufactured and created with the 54 schools
00:52 who receive their shares of the revenue split and EA Sports has long been missing for all
00:58 of these games and all of this entity and intrigue.
01:02 Now they're back.
