00:00 Young Dipertuan Agung Al Sultan Abdullah Ri Ayatuddin Al Mustafa Bilal Shah officiated
00:08 the launch of the new Sultan Ahmad Shah Administration Centre in Pahang on Thursday.
00:14 In his address, the king said he first proposed the construction of the centre to his late
00:18 father as the administration centre at Wisma Shri Pahang was old and facing maintenance
00:23 problems.
00:25 He said Kuantan City needs to be enlarged to address the traffic congestion problem.
00:30 "The construction of this building is a bit different from other concepts.
00:37 I am proposing a more ultra-modern concept, taking into account the ESG needs, which can
00:52 be taken into account for the future.
00:55 I am aware that this has already been done and hopefully it will become an iconic building."
01:03 He said he hoped the building will serve as an inspiration to others once completed.
01:08 The complex is about 80 percent to 90 percent complete, and one of the long-term plans is
01:13 to build a mosque not far from the centre.
