00:00 The only thing that's different between how she interacted with me and how I saw her interact
00:04 with other people is that I was a black woman and she felt like she could get away with
00:08 treating me that way.
00:09 Welcome to Ms Mojo. And today we're counting down our picks for Tinseltown's most explosive
00:14 revelations in 2023. We'll be looking at the secrets celebs shared themselves as well as
00:19 the ones exposed by others.
00:21 Of astonishing rather baroque attacks are some very serious allegations that I absolutely
00:28 refute.
00:30 Number 10. Megan Fox's toxic relationships and pregnancy loss.
00:35 Since her breakout role in 2007's Transformers, Hollywood hasn't always been kind to Megan
00:40 Fox. Sure, she was praised as a sex symbol, but as we've seen with several other women
00:44 in the industry, the actress was badly mistreated by the media for years.
00:49 If I didn't get this out of me, it was going to cause cancer or some kind of chronic illness
00:54 because it was just living inside of me.
00:56 In November 2023, Fox released her debut poetry collection called Pretty Boys Are Poisonous,
01:02 shedding light on a history of abusive partners. While she didn't call out anyone specifically,
01:07 she wrote about multiple traumatic relationships with people who are said to be well-known,
01:12 quote, "horrific people."
01:13 I'm not trying to encourage anybody to hate men, but is this a book about how part of
01:19 me hates men? For sure.
01:21 Fox also revealed that she and fiancé Machine Gun Kelly were expecting a baby daughter.
01:26 But tragically suffered a miscarriage early in Fox's pregnancy.
01:30 There was a tremendous amount of grief and emotional fallout that we went through together.
01:37 Number nine, Bruce Willis' Frontotemporal Dementia Diagnosis.
01:41 Which motorcycle is this?
01:43 It's a chopper, baby.
01:44 Which chopper is this?
01:46 In March 2022, rumor Willis announced via Instagram that her father Bruce Willis would
01:51 retire from acting due to aphasia, which affects a person's ability to communicate or to comprehend
01:56 language. In February of 2023, the Willis family shared an update on the actor's health,
02:02 stating that he was given a frontotemporal dementia or FTD diagnosis. The rare, incurable
02:07 disease impacts one's speech, movement, behavior, and overall functionality.
02:12 Your quality of life is greatly affected by aphasia. It is something that's brand new
02:16 that is not familiar to you.
02:18 Though Willis' declining health is a very personal matter, the lack of FTD awareness
02:23 and research has motivated his family to open up about their difficult experience.
02:27 I know it looks like I'm out living my best life. I have to make a conscious effort every
02:34 single day to live the best life that I can.
02:37 Number eight, Toxic Talk Show Work Environments.
02:40 Despite his nice guy persona, Jimmy Fallon has sparked controversy in the past and the
02:45 present. In September 2023, Rolling Stone's Christy Lee Yandoli reported that 16 former
02:51 and current staffers of The Tonight Show alleged the NBC program fosters a hostile workplace
02:56 atmosphere. According to the article, Fallon's erratic and unpredictable behavior created
03:01 an environment they felt was influenced by whether he was in a good mood or not. However,
03:06 at least one current employee spoke out against the accusations, and so did Jerry Seinfeld.
03:12 This is so stupid. I remember this moment. I teased Jimmy about a flub and we all had
03:17 a fun laugh. This is an idiotic twisting of events.
03:22 Earlier in the year, Yandoli also published an article detailing similar behind-the-scenes
03:26 mistreatment allegations at The Kelly Clarkson Show, though the employees said that Clarkson
03:30 wasn't the problem.
03:31 One former employee says NBC, the network that airs the daytime talk show, is protecting
03:36 the show because it's their new moneymaker.
03:39 Number seven, Actors and Writers' Unfair Wages.
03:42 With the rise of prestige television, one would assume the entertainment industry's
03:46 creatives in front of and behind the camera are well off, right?
03:50 "Then you have to pay us, Jefferson."
03:51 "She's right about that, Jefferson."
03:52 "I know. I'm aware, and I've already set that aside."
03:54 Well, the illusion was shattered in the spring and summer of 2023, when the Writers' Guild
03:59 of America, or WGA, went on strike. Streaming content has significantly affected writers'
04:05 job security and residual pay. Some actors also went public with pay disparities, leading
04:10 to SAG-AFTRA's strike.
04:11 "We will not be having our jobs taken away and given to robots. We will not allow you
04:18 to take away our dignity!"
04:22 Gilmore Girls actor Sean Gunn and This Is Us actress Mandy Moore revealed they received
04:27 unfair compensation for starring in the popular, award-winning shows.
04:30 "We need to know if we're participating in the success of a program, and if we are, we
04:37 should participate in that. It's common sense."
04:42 This sad reality also applied to writers and actors from highly successful shows like Netflix's
04:47 Orange Is the New Black, Hulu's The Bear, ABC's Abbott Elementary, and many more.
04:52 "When you're a kid, you have this idea, 'Once I'm on something that people actually see,
04:56 I'll be rich.' And you'll look around after being on that hit show, and you're like, 'Wow,
05:00 I'm still in the same one-bedroom apartment.'"
05:02 6. Paris Hilton's Dark Past
05:05 "Thinks they know me because I've been playing this character for so long."
05:09 In her 2020 documentary This Is Paris, Paris Hilton exposed the horrors she and others
05:15 allegedly endured at Utah's Provo Canyon School, a place for, quote, "troubled teens."
05:20 She recounted the experiences in Paris the Memoir, released in March 2023, along with
05:26 other instances of physical and psychological abuse.
05:28 "Do you want this to happen the easy way or the hard way?"
05:34 Hilton gave context to highly publicized moments in her 20s, like the notorious leaked adult
05:39 tape in 2003, as well as things she kept secret, like an unwanted pregnancy.
05:44 She also opened up about traumatic events from her younger years, including an inappropriate
05:49 entanglement with a schoolteacher.
05:51 It's heavier than a scandalous tell-all some may have expected, and it paints a grim picture
05:56 of Hilton's years of silent suffering.
05:58 "You had a caricature of yourself with the high voice and the, you know, rich, spoiled
06:04 brat persona. Was that really you?"
06:08 "No. That was a trauma response."
06:11 5. Kiki Palmer's Domestic Violence Allegations Against Darius Jackson
06:16 While hosting SNL in December 2022, the multi-talented Kiki Palmer announced her pregnancy, a la
06:23 fiancée at the 2011 VMAs.
06:25 "And I wanna set the record straight. I am."
06:32 In February 2023, she and her partner of two years, actor and fitness instructor Darius
06:38 Jackson, welcomed their son, Leotis Leo Andrelton Jackson.
06:42 The new parents had a public rift in July, when Jackson called Palmer out on ex, formerly
06:47 Twitter, for rocking a sheer black dress to an Usher concert. For months, the couple was
06:52 rumored to have called it quits. Then in November, Palmer was granted a temporary restraining
06:56 order against her ex and custody of Leo, citing years of Jackson's alleged physical, verbal,
07:02 and emotional abuse. Fans were horrified by the allegations, but ultimately proud of her
07:07 for leaving.
07:08 4. Lizzo's Behind-the-Scenes Behavior
07:11 We all know Lizzo as an advocate for body acceptance, self-confidence, and female empowerment.
07:16 "My music is all about positivity. The world is ready for positivity. I just remain true
07:21 to myself."
07:22 So when three former dancers went public with their accusations of workplace misconduct,
07:27 everyone was understandably shocked. In August of 2023, Ariana Davis, Crystal Williams, and
07:33 Noel Rodriguez filed a lawsuit against Lizzo, aka Melissa Vivian Jefferson, along with Big
07:38 Girl Big Touring, Inc., and dance team captain Charlene Quigley. The allegations included
07:44 instances of discrimination, body shaming, assault, and multiple forms of harassment.
07:49 A month later, wardrobe designer Asha Daniels filed a similar suit against the singer and
07:53 others in her camp.
07:54 "I'm like, 'Wait a minute, my foot is really hurting. I need to stop. I need to sit down.'
07:59 And so she pushes me into the rack and she says, 'Don't make excuses. Take this rack.'"
08:06 Filmmaker Sophia Nally Allison and other past employees would subsequently voice their support
08:10 for those speaking out.
08:11 "I witnessed how arrogant, self-centered, and unkind she is."
08:15 This alleged behavior goes against Lizzo's message of positivity, leaving fans more than
08:20 confused and disappointed.
08:23 3. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's secret separation
08:26 Just when we thought we knew nearly everything about Jada Pinkett Smith, she surprised us
08:31 with more unsolicited information. The notorious oversharer released her memoir Worthy in October
08:37 2023, and among the many reveals was the truth about her marriage to Will Smith. We've already
08:42 learned that the two have an unconventional relationship, to say the least. But as it
08:46 turns out, they haven't officially been together since 2016, which puts a whole new perspective
08:52 on the 2022 Oscar slap.
08:54 "The year 2016, which is seven years ago now, y'all have been apart."
09:02 "Yeah."
09:04 Between red table talk and a slew of on-camera interviews, Will Smith fans in particular
09:08 continue to condemn Jada for regularly spilling their very personal tea.
09:13 "If you marry me, know this. We're gonna be together. We're gonna be under the same roof.
09:18 You might be on one end of that joker with somebody else."
09:22 2. Prince Harry's royal family bombshells
09:25 "William and I considered reopening the inquest because there were so many gaps and so many
09:29 holes in it, which just didn't add up."
09:32 Following in the footsteps of his late mother Diana, Prince Harry continues to expose the
09:36 monarchy, namely their treatment of him and Meghan Markle. In January 2023's Spare, the
09:42 Duke of Sussex offered a deeper look into the life of a second-born royal, which he
09:46 also discussed in a captivating 60 Minutes interview.
09:49 "I see William and me smiling. I remember the guilt that I felt. Guilt about the fact
09:58 that the people that we were meeting were showing more emotion than we were showing."
10:05 Harry talked about grappling with his mother's untimely death and turning to unhealthy coping
10:09 mechanisms. He detailed multiple fights with his brother, like when William confronted
10:14 him about Markle's perceived rudeness, allegedly resulting in a shouting match that turned
10:18 physical.
10:19 "He had a few issues which were based not on reality, and I was defending my wife, and
10:28 he was coming for my wife."
10:29 Harry also called out his father's mistress-turned-wife Camilla Parker Bowles, claiming she would
10:34 deliberately stir up controversy about the family to distract from any bad press about
10:38 her.
10:39 "She was the villain. She was the third person in the marriage. She needed to rehabilitate
10:45 her image."

11:02 1. Britney Spears' Powerful Memoir
11:05 After years of media scrutiny and false narratives, Britney Spears got to tell her story in The
11:10 Woman in Me, which hit shelves on October 24, 2023.
11:14 "I've been eyeballed so much growing up. I've been looked up and down, had people telling
11:18 me what they thought of my body since I was a teenager. Shaving my head and acting out
11:22 were my ways of pushing back."
11:23 The legendary pop star detailed her road to success, her mental health struggles, and
11:28 the truth behind an array of controversies over the years.
11:31 "Spears describes a life of controlled manipulation. 'Too sick to choose my own boyfriend, and
11:36 yet somehow healthy enough to appear on sitcoms and morning shows.'"
11:40 She also wrote about the nightmare of living under the nearly 14-year conservatorship that
11:45 finally ended in 2021. One of the most shocking revelations was about her unexpected pregnancy
11:50 with then-boyfriend Justin Timberlake. According to Spears, his strong disinterest in becoming
11:56 a father prompted her to have an abortion. She also said that Timberlake cheated during
12:00 their relationship, which he ended via text. Fans knew Spears faced hardships, but from
12:05 her point of view, it's all the more disturbing.

12:13 "One of the dancers, you know, finally got up and had to pull her back because at that
12:17 moment we were like, 'Oh, she's actually going to hit me.'"
