00:00 Happy Wednesday to all of us, I am Benison S. Tareja.
00:05 The strong Northeast Monsoon or Amihan is continuing to sweep the large part of Luzon,
00:11 while the Easterly Salmon or the wind from the Pacific Ocean is still bringing hot weather in many areas of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
00:20 Although we do not see a storm entering our Philippine area for responsibility until Friday,
00:26 we are still monitoring the cloud cluster or the cloud cluster here in the Central Pacific Ocean.
00:32 It is still approaching our land and we are not losing the chance that it will be a low-pressure area in the next 24 hours.
00:41 This low-pressure area or weather disturbance is possible to enter our Philippine area for responsibility over the weekend,
00:47 for example, Saturday or Sunday, and it will rain in a large part of Visayas and Mindanao early next week.
00:53 That is why we will continue to monitor this and stay updated.
00:58 Because of the Northeast Monsoon, we expect a cloudy sky in Eastern Luzon, particularly in Maycagayan Valley, Aurora,
01:07 Northern portion of Quezon, and provinces in the Cordillera region, including Apayaw, Calinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao.
01:14 This will be accompanied by a weak rain and a partial drop in temperature, especially in the early hours and even later at night.
01:21 And here in the remaining portion of Central Luzon, Ilocos Region, Abra and Benguet,
01:26 it will be partly cloudy, sometimes even cloudy, with a few clouds, along the Northeast Monsoon.
01:34 Here in Metro Manila, the rest of Calabar Zone, Bicol Region, and Mimaropa,
01:38 we expect partly cloudy and sometimes sunny skies, accompanied by a high temperature,
01:44 possibly up to 33 degrees Celsius over Metro Manila, and some parts of Calabar Zone in the Palawan province.
01:51 There is a chance of a partial drop in temperature, especially in the Eastern portion of Bicol Region.
01:56 For our fellow citizens in Visayas, we expect partly cloudy and sometimes sunny skies along the Eastern Lees,
02:05 with a high temperature and a chance of a low temperature, up to 31 degrees Celsius.
02:09 We only have local thunderstorms in the Northern and Eastern Summers, while the chances of rain in other parts of Visayas are low.
02:19 For our fellow citizens in Mindanao, before the afternoon, the chances of rain are high here in Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro,
02:26 and in the provinces of Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur, along the Eastern Lees,
02:31 with partly cloudy and sometimes sunny skies in the rest of Mindanao.
02:35 By the afternoon, we expect a warm temperature, just like in Zamboanga City, Cotabato City, and Jensan,
02:42 where the maximum temperature is possible to reach 34 degrees Celsius.
02:46 By the afternoon and evening, we expect partly cloudy and partly sunny skies in many places in the Caraga and Davao regions,
02:53 with a chance of localised thunderstorms.
02:57 Due to the drought, we still have a high chance of a high tide in the northern Lees, with a high tide of up to 3 meters.
03:05 This is dangerous for our fellow fishermen and those who have small fishing boats.
03:10 By tomorrow, it is also possible that the Central, Southern Lees, and Visayas will have a high tide.
03:17 The Northeast Monsoon will also end.
03:20 By the end of next week, as early as Saturday evening, we may have a gale warning in the northern Lees,
03:28 due to the new typhoon that may be stronger.
03:33 By tomorrow, we still expect a strong Northeast Monsoon in most of the Lees.
03:38 By the end of Friday, the tides will be slightly weaker.
03:41 By the end of Saturday, the Northeast Monsoon will gradually intensify in the extreme northern Lees,
03:47 with a chance of a high tide from Sunday to the next few days over the northern and eastern portions of Luzon.
03:55 While we monitor the weather disturbance, the chance of a high tide is possible on Saturday or Sunday,
04:01 with a chance of a high tide in the eastern portions of Visayas and Mindanao.
04:05 So, if we are here in Metro Manila, for the next three days, we have nothing to worry about.
04:09 We can still wash and bathe, due to the partly cloudy and partly sunny skies,
04:14 and the hot temperature is still there, between 32 to 33 degrees Celsius.
04:19 In the early morning, it is possible to have a minimum temperature of up to 23 degrees Celsius.
04:24 For our fellow citizens in Baguio City, it is still very ideal to go out and take a walk.
04:30 It is still cloudy and sometimes sunny in the morning,
04:33 and when the afternoon comes, the weather can get dark,
04:36 but we can still experience the light rain, just like the Northeast Monsoon.
04:41 The temperature is still possible to drop below 15 degrees Celsius.
04:45 For our fellow citizens in Bicol Region, particularly here in Albay,
04:49 the weather is cloudy and sunny, especially here in Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur,
04:54 like the shearline or the high winds, the easterly and the cold Northeast Monsoon.
05:00 So, here in Bicol Region, we have scattered rain and thunderstorms by tomorrow.
05:05 If you are going out, bring an umbrella.
05:07 When Friday comes, until the weekend, it is partly cloudy,
05:11 and the cloudy sky that is accompanied by rain is still the same, like the easterlies.
05:18 For our fellow citizens in Metro Cebu, Thursday until Saturday,
05:22 it is partly cloudy and sunny in the morning,
05:26 which is also cloudy when the afternoon comes,
05:29 and it is accompanied by low-pressure storms, like the easterlies.
05:34 And lastly, for our fellow citizens in Metro Davao,
05:38 Thursday until Friday, it is partly cloudy and sunny,
05:42 and there are localized thunderstorms, especially in the evening until dawn.
05:46 On Saturday, it is more likely to rain, especially in the afternoon until night,
05:50 due to possible weather disturbance.
05:52 The trough of this is causing rain in the eastern portions of Caraga and Davao Region.
05:58 The sunrise is 6.12 in the morning, and our sunset is still 5.28 in the afternoon.
06:04 That is the latest from the Weather Forecasting Center of Pagasa.
06:07 I am again Benny Son Estaraian, saying, "Sometimes, hope is a good solution."
06:12 [End]
