00:09 According to Transportation Undersecretary T.J. Batan in the first news,
00:13 public transportation will still meet the needs of commuters.
00:18 The President said that 70 percent of public vehicles are already consolidated according to the PUV Modernization Program.
00:27 Batan clarified that the deadline for December 31 is only for consolidation.
00:32 That doesn't mean that the drivers of traditional jeepneys will stop traveling.
00:39 By December 31, the application of our operators and drivers will be submitted.
00:46 They will be given the opportunity to continue operating their traditional jeepneys for two to three years.
00:56 They will have two to three years to modernize their jeepneys.
