00:03 Chesterfield councillors have backed a bid
00:05 for two key sites to be included
00:07 in a new proposed investment zone
00:09 in a bid to attract more businesses to the town
00:11 and create new jobs.
00:13 Chesterfield Borough Council has earmarked
00:15 the Staveley Growth Corridor
00:16 and Hartington Regeneration sites,
00:19 including the proposed Hartington Industrial Park
00:21 to be included in the investment zone scheme.
00:24 Zone designation should bring in tax incentives,
00:27 capital and additional revenue funding to support the sites
00:30 while attracting investors.
00:32 The authority voted in favour of supporting the plans
00:35 at a full council meeting last night
00:36 and says it hopes tax incentives
00:38 will come with the zone status
00:39 may also attract green sector
00:41 and advanced manufacturing businesses to the two sites
00:44 with the potential to provide jobs
00:46 to the Chesterfield economy.
00:47 A Chesterfield musician has raised thousands of pounds

01:01 and to help raise money for Ashgate Hospice.
01:04 Katie said, "December 2023 marks 10 years
01:07 since my mum died,
01:09 and Ashgate Hospice cared for her so brilliantly
01:11 in the last couple of weeks with us.
01:13 Putting on the gala concert
01:14 was a way for me to say thank you to Ashgate Hospice."
01:18 Katie's concert has raised £3,750 so far,
