00:00 >> It looks good.
00:02 Yeah, I think we're gonna see him run a little bit.
00:05 >> Some RPO?
00:06 >> We need that.
00:08 >> Hey, what is it you know him as well as anyone here?
00:11 What has he brought to this team since three weeks ago?
00:15 >> I feel like he's brought a confidence and a swag.
00:17 You know, we done had a little bit of controversy with our people,
00:22 people getting hurt.
00:24 So I think that everyone, it brings a confidence to know that we have someone
00:29 in there that has been through it.
00:31 So I think that is number positive for us.
00:34 >> You guys, you mentioned it seems like every week you're having
00:39 a starting quarterback because of injury.
00:42 I realize that's something that you can't control.
00:45 But is there a price being paid because of that as well?
00:49 As far as your ability to effectively prepare as well as you want to because
00:54 it seems like every week you're going into the game not sure who's there.
00:58 >> I don't think that we focus on that.
01:00 Of course, that's not what we want.
01:03 But football brings that, as you guys can see in our division right now,
01:06 like a lot of people's hurt.
01:08 So you can't set your mind on that every week saying like,
01:12 that's something that we gotta bank on this person playing this person.
01:16 Now, it's always next minute.
01:18 >> How comfortable is going into this game, Kevin,
01:22 since the game time decision between Joe and Dorian?
01:27 What's your mindset for that?
01:30 >> Whoever's in, I just make sure that the receiver group and
01:32 myself is ready for whatever.
01:34 And that's how we approach every single week.
01:36 >> Who do you expect to start?
01:39 >> I'm gonna find out when you find out.
01:40 >> [LAUGH]
01:41 >> What if we decided to use all the
01:45 quarterbacks we saw in the past to get Dorian to play?
01:50 He could contribute in some way.
01:52 >> [INAUDIBLE] >> Like I said,
01:58 we're gonna focus on that.
02:00 Whatever helps the game plan to get this job done.
02:02 >> [INAUDIBLE]
02:12 >> Yeah, it's only helps us.
02:14 I feel like as a receiver, we do study those guys a lot.
02:17 So we wanna know who's gonna be out there.
02:20 But either way, if we focus on ourselves,
02:22 I think we'll put ourselves in the best position anyway.
02:26 >> [INAUDIBLE]
02:36 >> I mean, you just gotta be conscious of
02:46 the details of that route or that specific concept of tips.
02:50 You gotta be adaptable when you play receiver.
02:53 You gotta know when to slow down, when to speed up, and what to see and
02:56 what not to see.
02:57 So being inside and outside is a little bit different.
03:00 When you're outside, you do speed up most of your routes.
03:03 When you're inside, you do gotta be a little more patient.
03:05 But we all watch each other every single day and we get sipped.
03:08 So at this point, we should know exactly what everyone's doing.
03:13 >> Without giving anything, any intel away,
03:16 are the routes the same regardless of the quarterback?
03:18 Do you run the same route or same style route for
03:24 Joe as you would DTR or whatever?
03:28 >> I feel like every week it is.
03:29 That's probably the main part of it is a little different.
03:32 Joe's 6'6", Dorian's what, 6'0".
03:36 So I'm saying so it is different maybe in their steps on what they prefer and
03:40 what the coaches want as well.
03:41 So it's more like a game time decision.
03:43 >> So in building up, as you're practicing and prepping throughout the game,
03:48 probably doesn't change for you in the way you do your job much, but
03:51 when you actually get in the game, are those adjustments stuff you gotta make on
03:56 the fly, you just have to know as it's happening?
03:58 >> Yeah, definitely on the fly.
03:59 >> Time to go.
04:00 >> Thanks, man.
04:02 >> I know you expected him to play Joe physically the way he did last week.
04:06 How impressive are you, how mentally sharp you are on time?
04:10 >> It's all the little things that people would take for
04:13 granted for a guy that hasn't played in 11 months.
04:16 >> Yeah, man, I had to text him after the game.
04:20 That was definitely some, I know we didn't win, so everyone kind of was down.
04:26 And we had our time and we've got to throw that away too as well and move on.
04:29 But for someone who was in no position and in a position now to be running a team,
04:33 at that position, you already know how mental, how much focus you gotta put into
04:38 it, how much detail you gotta go over to get that done.
04:41 So major respect to Joe, I always say.
04:44 >> How did Amari look today and
04:48 what kind of look would it be if he was able to come back just a week after the game?
04:52 >> Yeah, he looked good today.
04:54 For him, I think it's the same thing.
04:56 It just depends on how he feels.
04:58 He's a pro, he's always gonna get it done.
05:00 >> But he has not switched over.
05:02 >> [INAUDIBLE]
05:12 >> Yeah, we just caught the ball.
05:13 >> [INAUDIBLE]
05:24 >> I don't know how to answer that.
05:25 >> You said your career as a guy who was catching in front of the street,
05:29 at the end of your rookie season on the touchdown catches.
05:33 You really had a knowledge for the end zone and catching those and
05:37 then going out with the wide.
05:39 Do you feel like that there's so much more of that in you that you
05:44 haven't been able to catch the touchdown catch, you have those on the street?
05:48 >> Yeah, for sure.
05:49 >> But are you open to those comments?
05:51 >> Same way, yeah.
05:53 Yeah, of course, that's how I post every single week.
05:56 At the end of the day, it is just based off opportunity, so that's it.
06:00 >> You work on those, collectively, you as well, you work on those boundary catches.
06:05 I know that's a tough play, especially when you're dealing with tight coverage
06:11 and that, but what makes for you,
06:15 what are you able to do that allows you to find a way to be the corner on
06:21 the boundaries and stay in bounds or get the body parts you need in bounds?
06:28 >> I think it's something that throughout my career,
06:31 I probably needed to pay more attention to.
06:33 So I just kind of focus on them all whenever I get a chance to, plays, plays,
06:38 drag, whatever you got to do to stay in bounds.
06:41 It's tight windows, man, they're good too.
06:44 But most of the time we look and it kills somebody, so you're hoping to be wide open.
06:49 But nah, yeah, it's game of interest for sure.
06:51 >> Did you laugh after the official mentioned he got the butt cheek?
06:54 >> Yeah, I didn't realize that after the game, I didn't hear what he said.
06:57 Yeah, for sure, it was funny.
06:59 >> [INAUDIBLE]
07:04 >> It's just kind of been infectious.
07:05 Does he kind of have that purpose, just it seems like everything's a little lighter,
07:09 a little more kind of loose.
07:10 Is that what he brings to the stage?
07:12 >> Yeah, he definitely has that swag to him, he brings that confidence.
07:15 He's an MVP player, man, he's been in the league for a while and
07:18 you got nothing but confidence when he's in the league.
07:20 >> Appreciate it.
07:21 >> Thank you.
