Roethlisberger Takes Aim at Mike Tomlin

00:03 I sort of feel like this is the same thing as the Cam Newton situation where in this

00:06 new media age you have players speaking out but because he's so closely connected to that

00:11 franchise and did all that winning with Tomlin as his coach, the comments feel a little strange.

00:19 Uh, yeah, you would think that because he spent his entire career there that he may

00:24 be more forgiving, I guess, in the sense of any criticism he directed towards the team.

00:31 But it's hard to not give credence to what he said.

00:34 Even Najee Harris, a player on that team, has criticized what was going on in that organization.

00:39 And you can see the results for yourself that something seems off.

00:42 Similar to Bill Belichick, I do wonder if Mike Tomlin's message has gone stale at this

00:49 Um, but I mean, Ben played there, he probably has relations with some of the players.

00:55 He's not coming up with this just on his own.

00:57 He's probably hearing it from people on the inside too.

01:14 And that to me is perhaps the biggest issue, not perhaps is the biggest issue the Steelers

01:21 Not the coach, not a use of timeouts, not tradition being gone, but no quarterback.

01:26 And he also mentioned leadership.

01:29 And he had to cache because of all the years spent there and the success he had to grip

01:33 people up and say, "Hey look, you're not doing your job."

01:36 And I do wonder on the offensive side of the ball if that's missing.

01:39 Actually it's clearly missing.

01:40 So I get that point too.
