It will feel like winter in the Midwest and Northeast during the first part of the new week as cold air and snow showers return to the regions.

00:00 Well, it's going to be a stormy go
00:02 of it here across the South.
00:04 It already has been as we've been
00:05 tracking storms across the Southern
00:07 Plains continuing to move on ease.
00:09 That's where you're seeing that rain.
00:11 They're moving in across
00:12 parts of the Mississippi Valley,
00:13 but as we continue our journey is,
00:16 you'll know that we also have a storm
00:18 still brewing there in the Gulf of Mexico.
00:20 That hot has its sights set on Florida
00:22 and it's going to be bringing quite
00:24 the punch with it spreading widespread
00:26 rain there across the area, but also.
00:28 Other concerns for severe weather as well
00:30 as we had in the Saturday afternoon
00:33 into the overnight hours into Sunday.
00:35 The area that we're most concerned about
00:37 are going to be central in South Florida.
00:39 On the board we have a medium risk
00:42 for wind flooding and tornadoes,
00:44 so it's almost in everything but
00:45 the kitchen sink situation there.
00:47 Hail going to be low with the chances there,
00:50 but hey, we are still talking about
00:52 severe weather erupting there across
00:54 central and southern Florida with a
00:56 moderate risk on the board,
00:58 meaning numerous severe storms and a
01:00 lot of big cities included in this.
01:02 Moderate risk that's going to
01:04 include Orlando, Tampa,
01:05 Cape Coral, Miami and tornadoes,
01:06 intense rainfall and localized
01:08 damaging wind gusts between
01:09 50 to 60 miles per hour.
01:10 But hey, you're accurate.
01:12 Local Storm X holds at 75 miles per hour.
01:14 Now we even could see some severe
01:16 weather areas further north
01:17 across northern Florida,
01:18 Jacksonville included up through
01:20 southeastern Georgia as well.
01:21 I want to show you how this is
01:23 going to play out here because again,
01:25 we have this wave of energy that's
01:27 going to be propagating propagating
01:29 East coming in from the West and
01:31 we're going to be watching this
01:33 storm in the Gulf of Mexico.
01:34 Continue to move on North.
01:36 It's going to be spreading widespread rain.
01:38 These two systems meeting up together
01:39 and while it is going to continue
01:41 its journey north up the coast,
01:43 it's going to be bringing that
01:45 heavy rain with it even as we
01:46 head into Sunday morning heads
01:48 up the Carolinas.
01:49 That's where we're tracking
01:50 some heavy heavy rain,
01:51 but we're not even going to rule out
01:53 a few isolated storms there across
01:55 southern Florida as we head into
01:56 the day on Sunday, which is why.
01:58 We do have a severe risk outlook here
02:00 as we head into Sunday with a some
02:03 risk that does include southern Florida.
02:04 Like I said, we cannot rule
02:06 out those isolated storms,
02:07 but again that widespread rain.
02:09 Those gusty winds there along the coast
02:11 going to be causing concern for isolated
02:13 tornadoes, intense rainfall,
02:14 and localized damaging winds.
02:15 Even throughout our day on Sunday,
02:17 that's going to extend right along
02:19 the eastern seaboard with your
02:21 accurate local storm X also
02:22 holding at 75 miles per hour.
