00:16 but the 13th month pay is still waiting for Mario, the security guard.

00:26 The DOLE reminded employers that workers have the right to receive the 13th month pay under the law.
00:32 This includes being a housekeeper.
00:34 And on December 24, the deadline is no extension or exemption.
00:39 All types of workers, irrespective of their status,
00:44 even if it's contractual, casual,
00:47 what's important, Maki, is that at least they have a service for one month.
00:52 This is how the 13th month pay should be computed,
00:56 add the total salary received for the whole year and divide it by 12.
01:01 A simple example, if your salary is 12,000 divided by 12,
01:07 in one month, you will only receive 1,000.
01:09 But it's not a joke for a small business to give 13th month pay.
01:14 In the case of Perry, who owns a hardware store,
01:17 his store earns almost a lot of money,
01:20 he can only give bonuses to his employees.
01:22 If he earns or not, I will give it to him. It's out of pocket.
01:26 It's your responsibility as an employer to produce the money.
01:31 If it's really over, according to the DOLE,
01:34 the Department of Trade and Industry can borrow money from a small business corporation.
01:38 There is no collateral. The payment was 24 months when they were borrowed.
01:43 According to the monitoring of the DOLE,
01:44 more than 90 percent of the compliance in paying 13th month pay to workers.
01:49 Housekeepers are also required to give.
01:52 But because family drivers are not included in the housekeeping law,
