00:06 where half a trillion from the fund was allocated for the aid of the Filipinos.

00:54 According to House Speaker Martin Rumualdez, under the 2024 national budget,

01:00 a program for our fellow Filipinos was included by the Congress.

01:05 That is the aid for the Kaposangkita Program or AKAP.

01:08 Rumualdez said that the fund for this is worth 60 billion pesos,

01:12 which is enough for the near poor or low-income workers,

01:16 like workers in factories, construction business, and drivers and food service crew.

01:22 The target is to give 5,000 pesos of one-time cash assistance to beneficiaries.

01:27 And if the program succeeds, its implementation will continue.

01:31 Rumualdez said that the administration's fund is worth half a trillion pesos

01:36 for the Social Amelioration Program or AYUDA for the Poor in 2024.

01:42 Rumualdez hopes that it will help Filipinos, especially those who really need it.

01:48 Other important programs of the government are also continuing,

01:52 like the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation or AICS Program of the DSWD

01:57 which has an allocation of 23 billion pesos and help to find a way to our disadvantaged and displaced workers

02:04 or the DOLE program which has a fund of 30 billion pesos.

02:08 Some of our fellow Filipinos were happy with the AKAP of the Congress.

02:14 It's a favor. It's good for all our people who are in need of help.

02:21 It's a favor. It's a favor. It's just that it's in the hands of the good government.

02:27 And the most important thing is that they really need help.

02:34 The Congress' approval of all the opportunities is just one of their actions

02:40 and that will improve the well-being of our fellow Filipinos.
