00:12 He's had a great high school career and been one of the best players,

00:16 most productive players in the country on a very consistent basis.

00:20 And we like him a lot.

00:22 And I think as all players, I tell all players,

00:25 you really gotta focus on your development.

00:28 That's the most important thing.

00:29 What are you going to become?

00:31 And I think you got the right mindset to do that.

00:35 >> The offense that Julian Sagan ran at Carlsbad was mostly spread, but

00:38 they ran some I formation and some old school stuff that put him under center.

00:43 How rare is it in this day and age to get a quarterback out of high school who can

00:48 come in on day one and be comfortable under center?

00:50 >> Yeah, well, we don't get under center a whole bunch, but

00:54 it's something that we wanna be able to do.

00:58 And we want the quarterback to be comfortable doing.

01:00 So anybody that's done that in high school or grew up doing it,

01:04 it's a natural thing for them.

01:05 So I think it's good.

01:07 I think it's a good thing that they're not just one dimensional as a player.

01:12 And then they're uncomfortable doing new things that you have to do.

01:15 Because I'm sure wherever anybody goes, there's gonna be new things at every

01:19 position that they have to learn to do for real comfortable learning.

01:23 But that's one thing that's pretty huge for a quarterback.
