00:00 What is your favourite festive film and do you prefer the older ones or maybe some of
00:06 the newer ones?
00:07 Well, I have to say that I have just watched my favourite festive film and that will always
00:11 be Elf. I just think it's so funny, so Elf it is for me.
00:16 I love Elf as well, it's my favourite.
00:18 Do you think a lot of people do prefer those older ones to the newer ones that are coming
00:23 out on Netflix and Amazon and things like that?
00:25 Yeah, I don't really know any newer ones, so yeah, I think the older the best really.
00:32 I've got two, Elf and Home Alone. Elf because of the laughs and the song and Home Alone
00:45 because it's funny as normal but there's a new one coming out.
00:49 The Holiday, for sure.
00:50 Nice, what do you like about it?
00:52 I don't know, I think it's just so family orientated and it's quite relatable because
00:57 it's not like everything goes perfectly and I feel like that sums up life in general.
01:02 But yeah, I don't know, I just find it so warming.
01:05 Do you watch television on Christmas Day?
01:09 Probably not, no, not usually. It's the time to spend with family and I'm lucky enough
01:14 to have family to spend it with so I don't watch the television then.
01:19 Home Alone, I remember it being a family favourite when I was younger and it's just always stuck
01:23 with us.
01:24 Do you think a lot of people like the older films instead of the newer ones, the few newer
01:27 ones that are coming out on Netflix and Amazon and things like that?
01:31 I would say so, yeah, I hear nothing but bad things about newer, faster films or newer
01:36 renditions of older films quite a lot so yeah, I would say people prefer the traditional
01:41 ones.
01:42 It's a wonderful light, yeah it is, it's really good, puts a tear in your eye and laughter
01:48 after, doesn't it?
01:50 It's a wonderful, I mean it is a wonderful film isn't it?
01:53 Have you got any Christmas films that you think are just rubbish?
02:00 All these celebrities, that's it, in shows, not all of them, nine out of ten, no, everybody,
02:09 long story short, happy animated ones, you know, they're good.
02:13 Home Alone, Home Alone 1 and 2, just because of the mischievousness and obviously it's
02:19 an old school movie that I used to grow up with and it brings me happiness and joy I
02:24 guess every time that I see it and yeah, I just think about my family as well every time
02:29 I listen to it, well, listen, watch it.
02:33 Looking at the list, some of them I don't regard as festive but yeah, I mean they're
02:38 wonderfully, wonderful life, jumps right out to me, a nice tearjerker family film but no,
02:45 I was watching a few of my grandchildren the other day, Polar Express and quite weird,
02:52 very weird but very clever some of them, yes, I'm not perhaps a Will Farrow type guy.
