00:15 where his grandfather was born.

00:18 According to his ex-wife, Darlene Berberabe,

00:21 Samboy loved basketball very much.

00:24 After retiring, he wanted to share his talent with the youth.

00:28 For Samboy's son, his father was his inspiration

00:32 because of his humble nature.

00:34 Samboy was later to be 61 years old.

00:37 I remember him as a very good person,

00:44 a good father.

00:47 He was always giving and generous of himself.

00:51 He was quick to give his time,

00:53 his advice,

00:55 and everything he could give.

01:00 I always just wanted to be like him

01:02 because he's very down to earth and very humble

01:05 even though he's like a superstar.

01:07 And he works very hard.

01:09 I'll remember him that way.
