00:52 when I had family things.
00:54 I also was told that you said
00:55 it was the most important gambling week of the year,
00:58 that you cannot have a bad gambling week during the holidays
01:01 and from what it looks like, you had a pretty good week.
01:03 - I mean, I crushed it.
01:04 I crushed it, but let's be honest.
01:06 So I do, people will be like,
01:08 "Oh, you don't bet all your bets or your picks."
01:10 So for this show, we have to pick every game.
01:12 I don't bet every single game, but I do,
01:15 like if I'm betting the games,
01:16 I'm betting what I say on this show.
01:18 So I'm consistent with that.
01:20 My problem over Christmas was,
01:22 I think I went like seven and one
01:24 and I went huge on the Cowboys and I was texting Will
01:27 and it's like just classic, you know, idiot gambling brain.
01:30 Like I went huge on the Cowboys.
01:32 I lost my NBA bets, but the Ravens,
01:34 I was so confident in the Ravens
01:36 and they came through for me.
01:37 So we got it all back.
01:39 But yeah, those are the worst.
01:40 When you go seven and one and you're like,
01:41 "Wait, I didn't win any money today because I'm an idiot."
01:44 And I'd like doubled, tripled up on one bet.
01:47 But yeah, we're back and Will's back too
01:48 'cause he had the Raiders outright, money line.
01:50 - Yes, that is the only bet that saved me.
01:53 As I did, I texted Dan and I was pretty down in the dumps.
01:55 I was just like, "Hey, it's just not a really good day."
01:58 Every bet that I made was on, you know,

05:12 The Cowboys minus six right now.

05:15 Obviously, these Lions are gonna change, like Dan said,
05:17 but the Lions won their division for the first time
05:19 in 30 years last week with their win.
05:21 The Cowboys are in the playoffs,
05:22 but still looking to clench.
05:23 Dan, I'll start with you.
05:24 The Cowboys, they're great at home,
05:27 and this is in Arlington.
05:28 They stink on the road.
05:30 What do you make of them going into the last couple weeks
05:32 of the regular season?
05:34 - So, that Cowboys-Dolphins game,
05:36 I weirdly walked away from it being like,
05:39 the Cowboys looked good.
05:40 If they don't fumble at the goal line,
05:43 if they have, I said this on PMT,
05:44 but if the Cowboys have Ezekiel Elliott,
05:46 they win that game.
05:47 They're missing a goal line back
05:49 who can get them two or three yards
05:51 when everything gets tight,
05:52 and Tony Pollard has not been that guy around the goal line
05:54 when he tried to cut up
05:56 and just got absolutely smothered by the linebacker.

06:20 It's six, and I know the Lions offense can score on anyone,
06:24 but I think the Lions defense, like you saw it on Sunday,
06:27 they started getting stops
06:28 when Hawkinson and Addison went out.
06:30 Like, before that, Nick Mullins was ripping 'em apart
06:33 at 400 yards.
06:34 I think the Cowboys are gonna be able to score at will here,
06:37 and if the pass rush can get home a little bit,
06:40 I like the Cowboys, and I just think
06:41 there's just a definite letdown spot here
06:43 for the Lions winning their first NFC North title
06:46 in the history of the franchise.

08:31 Does that concern you at all for Dallas?
08:34 - Yeah, he's like, he's weirdly holding onto the ball

08:38 and then there's just nothing there.

08:42 he's trying to make the perfect play at all times,
08:44 because, you know, the interceptions
08:45 were a problem last year.
08:46 They haven't been this year.
08:47 So maybe that's in his head a little bit,

08:52 but I just think this is a get right spot
08:55 for their offense against a porous Lions defense.

09:15 So Dallas, yeah, they could be hot going into the playoffs.

09:23 Of course, the Bucs won 26 to nine.
09:25 The Bucs, you talk about red hot in December.
09:27 They've not lost this month,
09:28 and, you know, they're looking to win the NFC South
09:31 for the third straight year.
09:33 Will, I'll start with you.
09:34 You know, the Saints have been struggling.
09:36 The Bucs are red hot,
09:37 but could you see this be a spot
09:38 where that might flip a little bit?
09:40 - I like the Bucs.
09:43 Baker Mayfield, eight touchdowns,
09:45 no interceptions in the last three games.
09:47 This is a team that nobody is talking about.
09:50 They don't have a lot of spotlight or expectation.
09:52 They're always counted out.
09:54 This is, that's exactly what Baker Mayfield wants.

09:58 And I think with all the internal,

12:39 The Ravens are my Super Bowl pick from preseason 18 to one.
12:42 So I was very happy they beat the 49ers.
12:43 If they can win this game,
12:44 they'll have the one seed and I'll have a buy.

12:48 It does make me a little nervous
12:52 because if you listen to what I just said
12:54 about the last game,
12:55 this is the sell high point on the Ravens
12:57 and the Ravens, if they've proven anything this year,
12:59 they're like an exceptionally good team

13:04 Like all of their losses are fuck around losses
13:07 where it's like, they were up 14 on the Browns.
13:09 They lost to the Colts in overtime at home.
13:11 Like these weird, stupid games, the Steelers game

13:19 that that could absolutely happen,
13:20 but I'm going to take the Ravens and just keep riding them.

13:53 they're a cuter offense, but I'm taking the Dolphins.

13:58 they obviously snuck out of there

14:01 but they played complimentary football.
14:02 It's like when you look back at the Chiefs game,
14:05 when they needed a game winning drive,
14:06 the offense couldn't put it together.
14:07 They did against the Cowboys.
14:09 When the defense, when they needed the defense
14:11 to step up against the Bills and they got hit in the mouth,
14:13 they weren't able to,
14:14 but fortunately they were able to against Dallas.
14:17 As efficient as Dallas looked,
14:19 they're just a few inches away on a couple of plays.
14:21 Dak making a hell of a throw, the fourth down,
14:24 having some penalties on that game winning drive,
14:26 or on that drive that Dallas had to get them back in.
14:30 It's like their defense is right there.
14:31 Now that they're healthy, now they have Jalen Ramsey
14:33 and they seem to be clicking well.
14:35 This could be a good spot to take the Dolphins
14:38 and sell the Ravens while they're hot.
14:40 - This is, I mean, we're, yeah,
14:42 we're just going to go head to head on every game.
14:44 The only other thing I had in this game
14:46 was both these teams rushed four, like at a high, high rate.
14:50 Lamar is better against rushing four than two of this year.
14:54 But yeah, I mean, all three of these games,
14:57 I feel like I could easily go 0-3
14:58 and be like, what was I thinking?

15:01 - Somebody is going to be happy, whether it's, you know,
15:04 Will not having to pay you at all,
15:05 or you getting $2,000 from Will.

15:11 it looks like he's the front runner for the MVP,
15:13 only a couple weeks left.
15:15 Do you think that he ends up winning the MVP

15:22 It's literally decided in the last three weeks
15:24 and it's whatever quarterback gets the one seed.
15:26 And Brock Purdy throws four interceptions,
15:28 everyone's like, he stinks now,
15:29 which you're never as bad as your worst game
15:32 and you're never as good as your best game.
15:34 But yeah, Lamar, I mean, he's deserving.
15:35 He's played great this year, but I do,
15:37 I just, I don't like that the MVP is built like that,
15:40 where it's just like, whoever wins games
15:42 at the end of the season, like the last three weeks,
15:44 it's like, all right, that quarterback,
15:46 whoever's on the one seed, he's the MVP.
15:47 But open it up to all positions.
15:49 All positions should get, I mean,
15:50 Christian McCaffrey has been incredible.
15:52 Tyreek Hill has been incredible.
15:54 Like a lot of these guys have been out of this world good.
15:57 Yeah, but Lamar will be, and he's deserving.
15:59 I'm not taking anything away from him,
16:00 but I just think the award is kind of stupid
16:01 how they vote on it now.

16:37 to where there wasn't like three or four quarterbacks
16:40 who have 4,000 plus yards at the end of the year,
16:42 40 something touchdowns, all these stats.
16:46 And again, Lamar is very much deserving.
16:48 He's had a hell of a game, especially in primetime.
16:51 He showed up big against the Niners,
16:53 but I do feel like it's just kind of,
16:55 and this is gonna come off
16:56 like I'm taking something away from him,
16:58 but like a watered down year for the MVP.
17:00 And finally, a year where Tyreek or Christian
17:02 could be in the conversation,
17:04 but since getting banged up like as a skill position
17:07 can kind of set you back like with Tyreek,
17:09 or if Christian, if they have a loss like they just did,
17:12 or he doesn't have a massive stat sheet
17:14 like he has been all year,
17:16 like that just throws those guys out of it.
17:18 And to Dan's point,
17:19 they just give it to the best quarterback
17:21 in the last few weeks.
17:22 - It's not a knock on Lamar whatsoever.
17:25 It's a knock on how they vote for the award.
17:26 Lamar will win the MVP, deserves to win the MVP.
17:29 I just think the MVP should be voted on differently
17:32 and all positions should get a fair shake in it.
