00:05 Michigan is the favorite at plus 200. Alabama only 20 cents back at plus 220.
00:11 Texas only 30 cents behind a team it beat week number two of this season.
00:16 In Alabama it's a plus 250 price for the Longhorns.
00:20 In Washington the fourth and longest price at plus 650.
00:24 Joe, as we enter the college football playoff in just 48 hours,
00:28 what do the national championship odds say to you about this group of four
00:32 that will be in the hunt for a national title?
00:34 Well, I think when you look at all four of these teams,
00:36 they all have a legitimate shot to win the national championship
00:40 as opposed to last year where TCU was basically Cinderella
00:44 and you know really struggled against Georgia.
00:46 I think any one of these four teams from a quarterback perspective
00:50 and even a defensive perspective have the opportunity to get there
00:53 and win the national championship.
00:55 I think when you look at the Rose Bowl perception and we talked about it,
00:59 best offensive, defensive lines,
01:01 potentially in terms of the semifinal playoff games,
01:05 talking about Michigan and Alabama respectively.
01:07 I do like Michigan early on in that matchup,
01:09 but I think the best and hottest quarterback in all four of these teams happens to be,
01:15 Kev, Michael Pinnock's in Washington battle-tested
01:18 and I have to roll with the Huskies in their matchup against Texas.
01:21 You can like Michael Pinnock's all you want.
01:23 He's not even close to the hottest quarterback.
01:24 That's crazy.
01:25 He's not hotter than Quinn Ewers.
01:28 In no way, shape, or form.
01:29 You can say he had a better season.
01:30 You can say he's a better quarterback.
01:32 He is not hotter than Quinn Ewers heading into this game.
01:34 No matter how much you want it to be true, that is not true.
01:38 Now, I did not expect you to say Quinn Ewers as you started describing hotter quarterbacks.
01:43 Well, I mean look, Taylor, I mean Taylor Milrow's just going to—
01:45 But Taylor Milrow down the entire home stretch of this college football season
01:49 is the reason that Alabama is playing in the college football playoffs.
01:52 And the reason I brought up Quinn Ewers is because everyone thinks I'm going to bring up Milrow.
01:55 That's the thing.
01:55 Now look, J.J. McCarthy is a very interesting guy amongst this—
02:01 He's basically inactive.
02:02 I mean, he's not even playing.
02:03 He's doing nothing in these games through the air.
02:06 And that is what remains so interesting to me.
02:08 And you just said something that made me chuckle with coming in that last year,
02:12 yeah, maybe we didn't have four teams that could win it because TCU was Cinderella.
02:16 They beat Michigan.
02:18 Michigan, hold on.
02:19 Michigan has now been in the playoff twice.
02:21 They lose to TCU, who gets embarrassed.
02:24 No other way to describe it against Georgia.
02:26 And the year before that, Michigan played Georgia and completely looked out class.
02:29 Yeah, right.
02:29 So the sample size on the Michigan Wolverines during this two-year run
02:33 that has been their best in quite some time has been,
02:37 man, they are much better than everybody in the Big Ten,
02:39 and they are not a true championship contender.
02:42 And I know the odds say they are, but we've seen teams like that.
