00:00 Good morning to all of you and happy new year!
00:04 Happy new year to all of us who are still following the Pag-asa weather update.
00:09 The time is now here, the first day of 2024, Monday.
00:15 The time is now here, we can see in our latest satellite images,
00:20 there are still two weather systems that are affecting our country.
00:23 The first is the North-East Monsoon or the cold wind, which will bring rain particularly in the Batanes and Baboyan Islands.
00:32 Meanwhile, there are also some weak rains that we can experience particularly in the Ilocos region,
00:37 including the cold regions of Cagayan Valley and Cordillera,
00:42 Central Luzon, Manila, and Calabarzon, which are also affected by the North-East Monsoon or the cold wind.
00:49 In the other 10 regions of the country, in Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao,
00:53 we are still expecting dry rains,
00:56 and the cold winds that are coming from the East or the wind that is coming from the Pacific Ocean.
01:01 Based on our latest data, it is shown that we are still not monitoring any low-pressure areas,
01:07 we still do not have any typhoons inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:12 Meanwhile, because of the cold, we are now wearing a high-level gale warning,
01:16 this is our warning for the strong waves of the sea.
01:19 We expect that the waves of the sea, particularly in the Batanes,
01:25 Cagayan, Baboyan Islands, and the Ilocos Norte communities, will reach up to 4 meters.
01:29 This is the tip of the gale.
01:31 That is why we are advising our fellow citizens, especially the small boats and small vehicles,
01:37 not to sail in these communities because we expect that the waves will be dangerous and strong,
01:43 and that the strong winds will bring strong winds.
01:46 And this is where we expect the weather to be in the next three days.
01:51 Based on our latest data, the north-east monsoon or strong winds will continue to move,
01:57 and so will the Easter days.
01:59 We can see here in our data, these green colors,
02:03 this indicates the rain.
02:06 Based on this, in the next three days, generally, it will still be fair weather in a large part of our country,
02:12 because we can see here that there is a high chance of rain, especially in the eastern section,
02:18 or the eastern part of Visayas and Mindanao,
02:21 that is the tip of this Easter list.
02:24 In the next three days, until January 4,
02:27 there is a small chance of having a storm inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
02:33 So we will continue to update this in the next days.
02:36 Meanwhile, for our detailed weather forecast,
02:40 we can visit the various Facebook pages of our Pag-asa Regional Services Division.
02:47 They provide specific data on the Thunderstorm Advisory,
02:52 rainfall warning, and also on heavy rainfall warning.
02:56 For the Northern Luzon, there is the Northern Luzon PRSD,
02:59 which includes Ilocos Region, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, and Aurora.
03:04 Also, for the National Capital Region,
03:07 it includes Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and Metro Manila.
03:12 We can also visit NCR PRSD.
03:15 Meanwhile, for Southern Luzon PRSD,
03:18 it includes Romblon, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Bicol Region, and Northern Samar.
03:26 For Visayas PRSD,
03:28 Palawan is included, along with Occidental Mindoro, and the southern part of Visayas.
03:36 For Mindanao, we can visit the Mindanao Pag-asa Regional Services Division.
03:41 Again, we can see the detailed weather forecast,
03:45 especially that it is updated every three hours.
03:49 Our weather today is expected to be sunny on the 6th, 21st, and sunset on the 5th, and 38th of the afternoon.
