00:00 It was very emotional, you know, we just all looked at each other and thought it might be the last time we play the characters together, you know.
00:08 Bonjour, Pam, how are you?
00:20 Bonjour, I'm good, and you?
00:22 Good. Listen, I gotta say congratulations. You know, obviously, it's great to wrap up anything on your own terms, but
00:29 you guys really fought to make sure that James would be part of this as well, and I know it wasn't always a guarantee that he was.
00:34 What did it mean to you to be able to say goodbye in the right way with James Gunn a part of it as well?
00:39 It was so beautiful and meaningful, and it's the trilogy as James Gunn imagined it, you know?
00:46 He had planned everything in his head since the beginning, and it was his beautiful vision of the characters and
00:54 of the story, you know, and it was beautiful in this volume three to dive into
01:00 into Rocket's backstory and all the trauma he's been through. But actually, all the Guardians
01:06 have been through a lot of trauma, you know, but it's beautiful because they all connect in such
01:11 a deep way, and they just all kind of save themselves by being together and sticking with each other, you know?
01:19 Yeah, and they do such a good job of pairing the cast up with people that they can play off of well,
01:25 and I think, you know, Mantis and Drax are such a great dynamic in this. You obviously have great
01:29 chemistry with Dave Bautista. What was it like to build that connection, especially after starting
01:33 it so strongly with the Christmas special as well? Oh my god, we had so much fun in the holiday special,
01:40 and we actually shot it at the same time as Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. So, you know, it
01:45 was funny because Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 has a deeper tone, you know, like darker,
01:52 and the holiday special was just like, you know, so it was just like going to like so many emotions.
01:57 But yeah, no, it was awesome to get to work with Dave and to... I love the dynamic
02:06 between Mantis and Drax, you know? It's so sweet to play, it's so funny, and they're just buddies,
02:12 and yeah, and sometimes like, you know, Dave calls her like horrible names, but he's just funny,
02:18 you know? I love that.
02:20 Peter, you know this is an open line, right? What?
02:23 We're listening to everything you're saying. And it is painful. And you're just telling me now?
02:28 We were hoping it would stop on its own. But I switched it over to private. What color button
02:32 did you push? Blue, for the blue suit. Oh no. Blue was the open line for everyone. Orange is for blue.
02:38 What? Black is for orange. Yellow is for green. Green is for red, and red is for yellow. No,
02:44 yellow is for yellow. Green is for red, red is for green. I don't think so. Try it then.
02:48 Hello! You were right.
02:54 But it was beautiful at the same time. You know, it's beautiful to have these emotions
02:58 and to care for each other, you know? And we're all friends in real life as well, so
03:04 yeah, that was beautiful.
03:06 Well, and you guys always bring the fun, and music and dancing is such a big part of the
03:10 Guardians franchise in general. What's it like to be in the room and to be part of one of those
03:15 dance parties? Because they look like a great time.
03:17 Oh yeah, it was great. I mean, I don't... Do I dance in the movie? Oh yeah, at the beginning,
03:21 yeah. The music is such an important part of the movie, and it's so amazing how James Gunn
03:31 chooses each music for each moment, and he sends us, in the script, the songs are already written
03:40 into the script, and then he, before starting to shoot the movie, he sent us a mixtape, you know,
03:47 playlist with all the songs of the movie. So we just like, you know, listen to the music,
03:52 dream about the scenes, and then shoot the scene, and he would play the music on set sometimes,
03:58 and yeah, it was amazing.
