00:00 So Style It Out is a fashion competition for young people.
00:05 Anybody who likes to express themselves and their individuality in a creative and fun fashionable way,
00:13 we invited them to come and take part in the show.
00:16 And it is a competition that sees kids taking on different challenges with different themes each week.
00:23 At the end of it we have three finalists and whoever wins gets to show their collection that they've made during the show at London Fashion Week.
00:33 I sat down with the production company and I said I want to do a creative show with young people.
00:39 And sustainability in fashion is what came out of it.
00:43 Young kids now feel so much more switched on about sustainability and the environment as a whole.
00:49 And they're taught so much, stuff that I was never taught about at school.
00:53 And if we can teach it much earlier on in life, then hopefully going forward it's going to have a much bigger and more positive impact.
01:00 I think having fun in fashion is really great for young minds because it really kind of helps shape who they are.
01:09 And even if it's not who they're going to be in ten years, it's who they are now.
01:13 And maybe in a year they'll like something else different, but that's part of life isn't it?
01:18 We kind of learn as we move and as we grow.
01:22 So I'm hoping that it will give the kids who maybe feel like they're different the confidence and courage to keep being that way.
01:33 If I was little now, there's so much more that you can access and see.
01:38 And if your minds are kind of open to having fun, then it's a really exciting place to be.
01:46 So who knows what might come from it, if you just give it a go.
