00:00 The Lions regular season finale then at home does not seem to be all that consequential,
00:09 except maybe it is a three point spread in favor of Detroit against the Minnesota Vikings.
00:15 And that three point number blue kind of goes in line with what Donnie was saying as we
00:19 were together in our last segment here on the early line that why would Detroit give
00:24 it a full go?
00:26 It is a very unlikely chance for the Lions to claim the number two overall seed.
00:32 They would need the Cowboys to lose as a 13 and a half point favorite against the Washington
00:38 Commanders.
00:39 Dallas would need to provide a great help for Detroit.
00:42 So what do you think the Lions will do?
00:45 How do you rationalize it all for the regular season finale in the Motor City against the
00:49 Vikings?
00:51 So I think what Donnie said in the previous segment is completely logical.
00:55 Makes sense, makes sense to me.
00:58 But a major outcome for them is obviously a Dallas Cowboys loss.
01:04 And that time is staggered.
01:05 They won't know whether or not the Dallas Cowboys will not have even played yet by the
01:09 time the Lions' result is made.
01:14 So there's other results out there.
01:16 Tampa, New Orleans, they could use a loss there, a Green Bay loss.
01:20 All of these things come into play.
01:23 They obviously have a salty taste in their mouth.
01:26 What happened to them last Saturday?
01:28 I think Campbell's going to want to get them playing at their elite level, at their best
01:34 level.
01:35 They've got a game here in which they can potentially smash an opponent, smash a divisional
01:39 opponent who's also still alive.
01:41 And I just don't see, at the moment, Campbell resting everybody.
01:46 Maybe he surprises us.
01:47 Maybe it's just for a half.
01:48 But I think he's going to want to get the taste out of the mouth of his players.
01:52 If they play all the way into the fourth quarter, then we'll just know that he's playing it
01:56 like a regular game and he's assuming that Dallas can lose.
01:59 But the other part of that conversation is Dallas is playing against the most checked
02:03 out team in the NFL.
02:04 They've lost seven straight to have the Commanders, and they've given up points.
02:07 We told them 27, 30, 28, 45, 45, 31, and 29.
02:13 Ron Rivera's not coming back.
02:14 We know everybody in the building knows he's not coming back.
02:18 And that casts a huge cloud over that game.
02:20 I don't know how else to say it.
02:22 Washington and the Chargers are the two most checked out teams in the NFL.
02:25 We look for it every year to try and gain an edge.
02:28 And now we have Dallas playing against the Commanders this week.
