00:00 A hacker who was caught pecking credit cards and card printers is now back in jail.

00:17 The people of the NCRPO's Regional Special Operations Group were put in Edgardo Silvano Jr.'s house in Las Piñas.

00:25 Don't touch the computer.

00:29 Based on the information obtained by the NCRPO,

00:32 Silvano is involved in illegal online activities where foreigners are the victims.

00:38 This started with the information from an asset, an informant.

00:41 We applied for a search warrant to seize evidences on the crime that he is committing.

00:52 At one time, in 2001, he was dubbed as Asia's number one hacker.

00:57 When he hacked or victimized one financial institution, an international institution.

01:05 In fact, he was jailed in Hong Kong during that time.

01:08 In the middle of the night, a 9mm gun was found in his house.

01:13 All cellphones, tablets, laptops, routers, hard drives and desktops were searched inside the house.

01:21 Silvano was arrested by the NBI in 2016 in a house in Las Piñas for the use of counterfeit credit cards, laptops and card printers.

01:30 Until now, the court is still hearing the charges.

01:33 The suspect insists that he is not committing any illegal activities.

01:36 The things I did before, I can't get rid of them.

01:40 That's what I'm doing now.

01:49 Aside from the digital forensic investigation, the NCRPO will also conduct a financial investigation

01:55 to clarify the suspect on how he bought the expensive properties of his owner,

02:01 like eight big bikes, a sports car, a pickup truck and properties in Lailla, Siargao, Cavite and Makati,

02:09 that are worth more than P100 million.

02:12 We also recovered a list of names, about 20 names with corresponding accounts not under his name.

02:21 So we suspect that these are the victims and we will be coordinating with different agencies,

02:31 especially the AMLOC, for their financial investigation.

02:36 All the gadgets that were confiscated during the operation will be included in the digital forensic examination

02:42 to be used as evidence in another case.
