00:03 Manifestly the first game between these two teams, so between, I'm sorry,
00:07 to start wildcard weekend and all, as the Texans and Browns met in Houston.
00:12 And this is a rematch of these two teams meeting about four weeks ago with
00:17 the one different route did not play in that game.
00:20 And it was a 36 to 22 final Joe Flacco lit up the Texans secondary in that game.
00:25 And so the Texans exact a little revenge 45 to 14.
00:28 They cover the plus three, this thing skies way over the total of 44.
00:32 This game in fact the Texans got over the total all by themselves.
00:36 Joe Flacco still over 300 yards in the game.
00:38 CJ Stroud played really well.
00:40 But all things considered here, the Texans defense really showed up big in this game
00:44 and made a huge difference with two pick sixes in the game.
00:48 That ultimately was really what swayed the tide of the game.
00:51 It was a close game, it was a tight game.
00:54 And really that's what kind of changed the outcome.
00:58 They were trading scores early on and
01:01 from there it just did not come together for Cleveland.
01:07 After it was a 17-14 game in the second quarter, a lot of scoring.
01:13 Joe Flacco threw a pick six at the end of the first half, made it 24-14.
01:16 And then their first drive out the second half, Joe Flacco threw another pick six,
01:20 31-14.
01:21 And Cleveland was never able to get back into it any size, way, shape, or form.
01:25 So it was all Houston Texans.
01:27 And again, this is a team here with a rookie head coach, a rookie quarterback.
01:32 First time ever a rookie head coach and rookie quarterback have won a division.
01:36 And the Houston Texans did it all, Drew, this weekend, and a very impressive 45-14 win.
01:41 >> Absolutely, I mean, in terms of the back to back pick sixes,
01:47 that obviously set the tone to where the game was out of reach.
01:50 But I'm with you, I mean, the Texans look good outside of that.
01:53 There was big question marks with CJ Stroud in his first playoff game,
01:59 obviously being a rookie out of Ohio State, but I thought he looked good.
02:04 You can see the athletic ability.
02:06 We've been able to see it pretty much every game that he played outside of
02:09 the games that he missed in the regular season.
02:12 And it really showed that they're kind of a wild card, if you will,
02:16 no pun intended after the wild card win, in terms of making a run here.
02:21 I'm not against the Texans surprising people moving forward in this NFL playoffs.
02:27 They're obviously gonna have some tough matchups.
02:29 But Mark, I'm not writing them off.
02:31 It's not like I have the Texans circled as a team.
02:36 Yeah, they got a big win, but it was against Joe Flacco.
02:39 What really is that?
02:41 No, I think the Texans can actually go toe to toe here and make a playoff run.
02:45 I'm not writing them off just yet, Mark.
02:49 >> Well, the Texans are likely going to have to go into Baltimore.
02:57 Because if the Bills win, then it's Bills and Chiefs, and
03:00 the Texans are gonna go to Baltimore.
03:01 These two teams met back in week one in a game the Ravens won 25 to 9,
03:05 I think it was.
03:07 It was a close game in the first half and the Ravens end up pulling away.
03:10 That said, they were dynamically different teams back in week one than they are
03:14 right now.
03:16 And really, I don't think the Texans are gonna go into Baltimore and
03:22 win a playoff game.
03:23 Can they make it tighter than expected?
03:25 Yeah.
03:26 And when that number comes out,
03:27 I expect the Ravens to be a seven and a half, eight point favorite.
03:30 >> Yeah, I'm with you.
03:32 It will be more than a touchdown.
03:33 So keep that in mind, guys.
03:34 When we say the Texans, don't write them off just yet.
03:38 >> Go back to week one, they were a seven and a half point dog 18 weeks ago,
03:43 19 weeks ago.
03:45 It's not really a reference point for anything, cuz again,
03:47 they're dynamically different teams, but it wouldn't shock me.
03:49 It would surprise me if this was under a touchdown.
03:51 >> Interesting, yeah, I didn't even think about that.
03:55 I mean, the Texans, which by the way, guys, our producers Matt and
03:59 Frank helping us out here with a heck of a stat, Mark.
04:03 First rookie head coach quarterback combo to win a playoff game since who?
04:11 Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez.
04:14 >> How about it?
04:16 Not the Buffalo Beer either.
04:18 >> No, you know who did it before them?
04:21 Joe Flacco and John Harbaugh.
04:22 [LAUGH] >> Really?
04:25 Okay. >> Yeah.
04:26 >> That's how long it's been.
04:28 >> John Harbaugh in 2008 was a rookie head coach,
04:30 with Joe Flacco was a rookie quarterback.
04:31 And they finished in the wild card round and won a playoff game that for
04:35 the AFC championship game that year and lost to the Steelers.
