WIGAN: No. 37 Bar and Bistro
We take a look at No.37 Bar and Bistro, Mesnes Road, Wigan, owned by former Wigan Warriors player Sean Gleeson, his partner Kate Edwards and business partner Stephen Haselden. The bar opened before Christmas and their first month in business has been a success, as they tell us what their plans are for the future.

00:00 Hello, just a quick introduction to number 37 Bar and Pistole. My name's Stephen, this is Sean,
00:06 this is Kate. We're the co-owners of the property. We took over this property six weeks before
00:13 Christmas. After a very, very hard, tough four weeks we successfully got the place open.
00:20 I think we've achieved a very nice standard. Moving forward, we're hoping to get the kitchen
00:24 up and running by the beginning of March, if not sooner. Also, for the summer time,
00:31 we're looking at putting some outdoor seating. Obviously, you can have a drink outside and
00:36 stuff like that, but obviously by then we should be doing food, so hopefully we'll have some comfy
00:41 seats outside, but some under cover as well, if you want to potter outside and have a drink.
00:46 And also, we'll have some warm heating as well, so if you want to sit outside, even when it's
00:52 cold, you can sit down and get cosy and have a drink and a bite to eat. Yeah, expanding our menu,
00:59 cocktail's our favourite at the moment, so we're going to keep introducing new cocktails,
01:04 obviously with our small plates of food, so summer time should be a really good time.
01:10 We found we're the only bar, kind of wine bar, cocktail bar, sort of theme of what we're trying
01:16 to achieve. And obviously, we don't want to be restauranty, we want to be more where you can
01:20 have a drink and have a few small plates, but tasty food as well. We're going to have lots of
01:25 live music on as well, so every two weeks we're going to have different artists on,
01:30 so it's going to be the place to be on a weekend. Cheers!
