00:16 The celebration of the Giniakan Festival in Baroilano del Norte

00:25 was held after four years of delay due to the pandemic.

00:30 The occasion was held alongside the Pista de Senor Santo Niño,

00:34 the patron saint of Baroil.

00:36 The town of Baroil is known as the Clay Town of Llano del Norte

00:39 because of the rich clay deposits used in pottery.

00:43 Giniakan came from the word "gio"

00:45 which is a way of refining clay through tapping.

00:49 Four contingents participated in the Invitational Giniakan Festival Street Dancing Competition.

00:55 The Grand Champion of Llano del Norte National Comprehensive High School was nominated

00:59 and won a cash prize of P100,000.

01:03 They also won the Best Festival Queen Award.

01:06 The first runner-up was the Linamond Contingent,

01:12 the second runner-up was the Santo Niño Academy,

01:14 and the cash prize was P50,000.

01:17 The third runner-up was Llano del Norte,

01:19 which won a consolation prize of P20,000.

01:23 Of course, we are happy and we are thankful that we were able to experience this.

01:33 and thank you to all the organizations who appealed to me for the competition.

01:37 Meanwhile, the local government of Baroil allowed

01:41 the Baybay Sunset Cafe, A Houses, and Mangrove Park in Barangay San Juan.

01:46 The main attraction is the cottages, floating cottages,

01:49 and A Houses that can be visited by local and foreign tourists.

01:53 The place is also perfect to enjoy the famous sunset in Pangil Bay.
