00:17The government is now hastening the construction of facilities in Lumbia Air Base in Cagayan de Oro.

00:22Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. made the announcement

00:26following a visit to the site where one of the EDCA sites will be located.

00:30At present, the air traffic control tower is being upgraded.

00:34The humanitarian assistance and disaster response and multipurpose warehouse is also planned.

00:39The runway will also be enlarged to accommodate more aircraft.

00:43Secretary Teodoro was also invited along with AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo Browner Jr.

00:48to the monolithic dome that will serve as the command and control center.

00:52We will pass the development here because the 15th Strike Wing needs to be moved here.

01:57Camp Melchor de la Cruz in Gamay, Sabela,

02:00and Balabag Island in Palawan.

02:02The Defense Department clarified again that EDCA sites are not military-based

02:06because it is controlled by the Philippines.
