00:08 the Vizayas and Mindanao and expect the effect of the Northeast Monsoon or AMIHAN on the remaining part of the Vizayas and a large part of Luzon.
00:17 This is what brings a cold weather plus there is a light rain there.
00:21 Meanwhile, we do not expect a storm that will enter our Philippine area of responsibility and low chance that we will have until the end of this month.

00:41 The highest chance of rain here in the Bicol region, here in Marinduque, Romblon and Oriental Mindoro, those are light to moderate rains.
00:49 Be careful of possible floods and landslides.
00:52 Here in Quezon, in a large part of Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region as well as Aurora,
00:59 expect light rain and dark weather most of the day until the end of AMIHAN.
01:05 Here in Ilocos Region, the remaining part of Central Luzon, Metro Manila, rest of Calabarzon and rest of Mimaropa,
01:12 partly cloudy to cloudy skies and if there are rains, it will be light and light.
01:18 Here in a large part of Luzon, we will experience a fresh weather.
01:23 The temperature will not rise and in fact, in the early morning, less than 20 degrees Celsius minimum temperatures

01:40 Here in Baguio, the coldest temperature is 12 to 21 degrees Celsius.
01:45 For our fellowmen in Visayas, the most likely to rain is at the end of the shear line,
01:50 this is the eastern portion of Visayas. Expect scattered rain and thunderstorms
01:54 that may still cause flooding and landslides.
01:58 So, always keep in mind the weather advisories and heavy rainfall warnings we will be issuing.
02:04 Here in the western part of Visayas, especially in Aklan and Capiz,
02:08 the weather and experiences will still be a bit cloudy, with light to moderate rain,
02:12 up to the northeast monsoon.
02:14 While in the remaining part of Visayas, it is still early, a bit cloudy,

02:29 For our fellowmen in Mindanao, the most likely to rain is at the end of the shear line,
02:34 the Caraga region, especially the Dinagat Islands and Sorigao provinces.
02:38 So, if you are going out, bring an umbrella, because scattered rain and thunderstorms
02:43 may still cause flooding and landslides.

03:33 For now, due to the low tide of our northeast monsoon,
03:37 we have gale warning in the eastern seaboards of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
03:43 The waves are up to 4.5 meters high, or in one half of the gusali,

03:57 Silangang Bay Bay of Eastern Samar, Pababanan Dinagat Islands,
04:00 Sargao del Sur, and in the islands of Sargao and Bucas Grande.
04:04 The waves are dangerous to small sea vessels, island hoppings, and especially to our fishermen.
04:11 And please take note, these areas will not be the only areas that will be affected.
04:15 Here in Western Visayas and Mimaropa, the waves here
04:20 can reach between 3 to 4 meters, and it is also dangerous to small sea vessels.
04:25 This is due to the northeast monsoon.
04:28 And in the coming days, we will still experience a high tide
04:31 in many seaboards of Luzon, Visayas, and eastern portion of Mindanao.
04:35 Meanwhile, here in Metro Manila, and the remaining part of Luzon for the next three days,
04:41 we will still be affected by the northeast monsoon.
04:44 The most likely and expected is the light rain by tomorrow
04:48 here in the eastern part, Bicol region, as well as the Gaspi City,
04:52 Cordillera region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, and nearby areas here in Mimaropa.
04:57 We expect light rain and low temperatures.
05:01 Record breaking temperatures are possible by Saturday and Sunday in the early hours.
05:06 Then, when Sunday and Monday arrive, the weather will be better
05:09 for those in the eastern portions and those who experience cloudy and sometimes cloudy skies.
05:14 There is a chance of rain, but more on light rains only.
05:17 For our fellowmen in Visayas, there are still rains,
05:22 especially in the eastern portion of Visayas, including Tacloban City.
05:25 But over the weekend, expect the low tide of the northeast monsoon or AMEAN.
05:30 So, we will experience, here in the majority of Visayas,
05:33 for the next two days, a low temperature
05:36 and there is a chance of a light rain.
05:39 Then, when Monday arrives, the shear line returns to the eastern portion.
05:43 So, expect scattered rains and thunderstorms.
05:46 Be careful of floods and landslides in the eastern portion of Visayas.
05:50 And lastly, to our fellowmen over Mindanao,
05:53 when tomorrow arrives, the weather will be better.
05:55 So, this is your chance to wash or hang your clothes.
05:59 Then, when Sunday arrives, until the end of January,
06:03 the rainy season is possible.
06:05 It will start here in the eastern portion, Caraga and Davao region.
06:09 When Sunday arrives, the rain is possible,
06:11 along with the shear line and possible circulation,
06:14 worst-case scenario.
06:15 Then, when Monday arrives, until Wednesday,
06:18 a large portion of the northern and eastern portions of Mindanao
06:21 will experience stronger rains.
06:24 So, we should prepare for this.
06:25 If you are going out, bring an umbrella for next week
06:28 and coordinate with your local disaster risk reduction and management offices
06:32 if you need to avoid strong rains.
06:37 The sun will rise at 6.25 a.m.
06:40 and set later, at 5.52 p.m.
06:43 That's all for the latest from the Weather Forecasting Center of Pagasa.
