00:00 Losing defensive line coach Bo Davis earlier this month was one of the bigger blows in the offseason for the Texas Longhorns football program.
00:08 Thankfully, the Horns have officially found their replacement and have hired former Miami Dolphins assistant Kenny Baker.
00:15 This season, the Dolphins were one of the best in the NFL at getting after the quarterback, ranking third in the league in sacks with 56 behind only Kansas City with 57 and Baltimore with 60.
00:27 The 37-year-old also helped the Dolphins become one of the best teams against the run, ranking seventh in the league and giving up just 97 yards per game.
00:36 Baker commented saying, "I'm really excited to be working with Coach Stark. He's accomplished so much in his coaching career and what he's done in bringing Texas back and building the culture here is evident."
00:48 He then went on to speak about how the history, tradition and standard of excellence within the University of Texas is a dream for any coach to be a part of.
00:58 Yes, replacing Bo Davis will be a tough task, but Baker seems more than up for the challenge and eager to get going in Austin.
01:07 From Longhorns Country, I'm Alexandra Cox.
