00:00 Happy Friday to all of us, I am Benison Estareja.
00:04 It is still a rainy season for our people in Mindanao.
00:09 It is still the end of the trough or extension of the low-pressure area outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:15 As of 2 in the morning, the LPA has just reached its last stop.
00:18 It is more than 300 kilometers to the east of Zamboanga City and the chance of it being a storm is still low.
00:24 We expect that within 24 hours, the LPA will still move westward
00:30 to the Sabah area and possibly Malusau over the weekend.
00:35 Meanwhile, although the north-east monsoon or amihan is still affecting a large part of Luzon,
00:41 it is already weakening and we expect that it will still be raining heavily in the eastern part.
00:47 Today, due to the amihan, we still expect heavy rain and dark weather in a large part of Bicol Region, Aurora and Quezon Provinces,
00:56 especially this morning here in Aurora and Quezon.
00:58 Sometimes, the rain is moderate, especially those near Sierra Madre Mountains.
01:03 As the afternoon and night comes, the rain will decrease here in Bicol Region.
01:08 Meanwhile, here in Metro Manila and the rest of the country,
01:12 the weather conditions are still the same, partly cloudy and partly sunny in the morning.
01:17 Then, when the afternoon and night comes, it is partly cloudy skies,
01:20 especially here in the areas of Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Region,
01:24 while the chance of rain is still low, especially here in the western section of Luzon.
01:29 Due to the weakening of the amihan, our temperatures are rising,
01:34 the cold is decreasing in the early hours and the heat is increasing in the afternoon.
01:38 Here in Metro Manila, the temperature is between 24 to 31 degrees Celsius,
01:42 while in Baguio, the temperature is between 15 to 24 degrees Celsius today.
01:46 For our fellowmen in Visayas, the area that will still be heavily raining due to the trough of the low-pressure area,
01:53 the whole central Visayas, including Metro Cebu and the provinces of Southern Leyte and Negros Occidental.
01:59 This morning until the afternoon, the rain will be the heaviest,
02:02 even though we still have to be careful in the possible flooding and the erosion of the land.
02:06 Here in the area of Visayas, it is partly cloudy skies,
02:11 accompanied by short rains or lightning and thunder.
02:15 Our temperature in a large part of the Visayas is no more than 30 degrees Celsius.
02:22 And lastly, to our fellowmen in Mindanao,
02:25 expect the rainy season if you will go out of your house,
02:28 bring an umbrella because it will be a dark time.
02:31 Expect the scattered rain and thunderstorms as early as this morning,
02:35 especially in the Carraga, Davao region and Soxargén.
02:38 Then, by the afternoon until the evening, the rain will concentrate around Morogulf,
02:44 including the Moro region, Soxargén and the eastern part of Zamboanga Peninsula.
02:49 So, be careful in the flooding, especially in the low-lying areas and the ones near the rivers.
02:55 It is still possible for the land to be eroded, especially in the mountainous areas.
03:00 And in terms of our temperature, Zamboanga City is still not cold.
03:04 25 to 33 degrees Celsius, while Davao is up to 31 degrees Celsius.
03:10 Now, due to the low humidity, we will still expect the right winds to blow in the western section of our country,
03:18 while in the eastern part of the country, moderate to rough seas,
03:23 with winds up to 3 meters high.
03:25 This is equivalent to a house flooding.
03:29 So, this is still a bit dangerous for small sea vehicles, especially for fishermen.
03:34 And over the weekend, we will not be worried in terms of sea travel suspensions.
03:39 And for the next three days, as we mentioned earlier, the winds will be weaker
03:44 and the easterly winds will be stronger over Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao,
03:48 even though we expect the temperature to rise, especially in the early hours.
03:53 Here in Metro Manila, our temperature is between 23 to 31 degrees Celsius,
03:57 but the chance of rain will still be low in the next three days.
04:00 We will not have any problems here in Maybago City in terms of sea travel.
04:04 It will be sunny most of the mornings, and then when it reaches afternoon to night,
04:08 there will be isolated light rains.
04:10 And here in Bicol Region, partly cloudy to cloudy skies,
04:13 there is still a chance of sunny days, and if there is rain, it will be the end of the easterlies.
04:19 For our fellow citizens, here in a large part of Visayas, it is sunny in the morning,
04:24 and then when it reaches afternoon, because of the easterlies, it is hot and humid.
04:28 So, those who will be traveling, specifically here in Metro Cebu and Iloilo,
04:32 expect the hot weather and humid weather when it reaches afternoon,
04:36 bring an umbrella, and stay away from the heat.
04:38 Then here in Eastern Visayas, as part of Tacloban City, it is partly cloudy to cloudy skies,
04:43 and there is also a chance of short rains, and that is the end of the easterlies.
04:47 Lastly, for our fellow citizens, over Mindanao, from tomorrow, the rains will be reduced,
04:53 but then again, there will still be isolated rain showers or thunderstorms,
04:56 so there will still be a chance of rain and landslides over the weekend,
05:00 the land is saturated in a large part of Mindanao.
05:03 Even so, there will be sunny days in many places,
05:06 and there will be localized thunderstorms that have nothing to do with low-pressure areas or any typhoons.
05:12 Our temperature or sunrise is 624 in the morning, and sunset is 555 in the afternoon.
05:18 That is the latest from the Weather Forecasting Center of Pagasa.
05:21 I am again Benny Son, S. Tarayhana, saying "Sanang Magpanahon, Pagasa ang Magandang Solusyon!"
