00:00 But a number that I'm kind of, I know I want to get Donnie's take on as well, but even
00:07 but Ben I'll start with you.
00:08 You know, Purdy one and a half passing touchdowns is the cheapest it has been since they were
00:13 in Philadelphia and at the time they were on the road in the rain against a 10 and 1
00:16 football team.
00:17 Yeah, I think it's so interesting when you look at that conversation because again, as
00:21 I follow the odds throughout this playoff run, Brock Purdy has never been the Super
00:25 Bowl MVP favorite, despite the fact he is the quarterback for the team that has always
00:30 been the Super Bowl favorite.
00:32 That doesn't normally add up or correlate in that manner.
00:36 We saw Lamar Jackson in front of him early on.
00:38 We saw Christian McCaffrey with the shortest number for a non quarterback in this market.
00:43 The idea being whether fair or unfair, the narrative around Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey
00:48 might be more important to San Francisco's team success than even their quarterback in
00:53 Purdy.
00:54 I want to throw it back to you in that MVP conversation and just how Super Bowl 58 will
00:59 flow come Sunday at the end of this week.
01:01 Who is the most important player for San Francisco?
01:04 If the 49ers win a Lombardi trophy, is that most significant player Brock Purdy or Christian
01:09 McCaffrey?
01:10 It's Christian McCaffrey because as he goes, the 49ers are going to go.
01:12 I mean, you talk about handing the football for running a tall sweep here, Ben.
01:16 We're at seven, eight yards a clip.
01:17 Brock Purdy is going to be able to do whatever he wants here.
01:18 I love the fact you have two weeks to get Debo Samuel ready.
01:21 He's healthy, but also if we're looking at the Purdy numbers, Kevin, as you brought up,
01:24 is so interesting to me because most of the time during the regular season, what are we
01:28 talking about?
01:29 49ers at least four touchdowns in a game.
01:30 Well, that's easy.
01:31 McCaffrey get his one.
01:32 Debo can run a reverse.
01:33 Maybe McCaffrey gets two and Purdy's going to throw at least two touchdowns.
01:36 It's baffling to see this football team move it up and down the field and then when you
01:40 have that Purdy number, which I've had multiple times at one and a half, your heart sinks.
01:44 It's like, oh no, it's first and goal from the seven.
01:47 Just shut the TV off because McCaffrey's going to get that touchdown within one or two carries,
01:50 no doubt about it.
01:51 And those would hurt, but it's again coming back to that same number.
01:53 Donnie, what makes sense here?
01:54 Do you think the 49ers can get the 28 points, which is four touchdowns?
01:58 And if you do, you have to take that price because we saw it as high as 190, the 175s,
02:02 the 160s.
02:03 Now you're looking at it lower.
02:04 You have to take the bait on that because who in the right mind?
02:06 I don't care what Kansas City does on defense.
02:08 Are we really looking at this football game as, man, I didn't see this coming where the
02:11 49ers have 10 points late in the fourth quarter.
02:14 No, give me the one and a half touchdown passes.
02:15 I'll do it again.
02:16 It's just remarkable.
02:17 They scored 34, Donnie, though, against Detroit.
02:21 It didn't get there because Eli Mitchell scooted in a little.
02:24 Tell me something.
02:25 We can't tend to one just in case.
02:27 Yeah, no.
02:28 And that's why even like we talked about it in regards to Brock Purdy's anytime touchdown
02:31 plus 850, maybe they're inside the two or the three yard line quarterback sneak, maybe
02:36 Purdy tucks in and runs.
02:38 I think there's an opportunity for that as well.
02:40 But when you have multiple playmakers right now and you're pushed to the limit where Green
02:45 Bay and Detroit had their backs against the wall, they utilize different ways to score
02:50 points.
02:51 And that's that's where they have evolved over the past couple of weeks.
02:54 So I think when you see that one and a half number for Brock Purdy, they're expecting
02:59 this this game to be played on Kansas City's basically philosophy or tempo, right?
03:05 Twenty four twenty.
03:06 Maybe we get two touchdowns out of San Francisco, maybe three.
03:10 And that's why Purdy's at one and a half.
03:12 But again, I'm expecting the complete opposite.
03:14 I'm expecting San Francisco to dictate the tempo.
03:17 If that's the case, I'm expecting San Francisco to get into the 30s.
03:21 And then all of a sudden, Donny's betted over one and a half looks looks feasible and really
03:25 good in terms of that aspect.
