House leaders say Zubiri committed to finish RBH 6 hearings by March  House of Representatives' Sr. Deputy Speaker Aurelio 'Dong' Gonzales Jr. and Bataan Rep. 00:00 Q: Senate President Zulily said yesterday that their discussions on RPH6 is not tied down to any deadline because it is not like an ordinary bill that "can be approved without thinking". It needs time and study. Your reaction?

00:19 A: Magandang umaga regarding that question. Kasi yung sinabi ni Senate President, mayroon tayong transcript noon ng press conference niya noong January 15, 2024.

00:32 May nagtanong, "Like economic provisions, may target date na po ba?" Kasi may sinasabi rin na possibly dapat sa zona ni Presidente may report na niya ito.

00:46 Ang sagot ni Senate President at mayroon akong video, napakasimple lang naman ng amendments na ito. I don't see any problem finishing in this quarter. Before the Holy Week break, I don't see any problem kasi tatlo lang yung dapat tapos, tatlo lang yung tapos. Napakasimple. It's otherwise, it's not specific. It's otherwise.

01:11 So yan ang sinasabi lang ni Senate President at yan lang ang sinasagot ng House of Representatives. At mayroon pa silang meeting with the leadership, with the Speaker and the Senate President. And I understand, ito nga noong nasa Malolos kami inuulit ko lang, nando na ako with the Speaker, na pag-usapan na lang at tapusin nila kagad by March. So yan ang sinabi namin at yan ang palagi namin sinasabi kasi kailangan ito ng ating Pangulo.

01:40 Tamaan sinabi ni SBS, gumisalis, ito ang pinangahawakan at pinaniwalaan namin ang mga members of the House of Representatives. Nagawa namin na yung aming part with regard to resolution of both houses.

Siyempre nag-uulis na po sa ating Senate President, SBD, siya na po naismo nagpitaw ng silita that before Holy Week magagamba na nito. Medyo nanilibago naman po kami at nagugulat bakit po all of a sudden mayroon napangkita sa Seneng Angara na sa October na po.

02:26 Alam niyo po ang katotohanan is kung yan ay pag-uusapan pa lang natin starting October on deliberations, it's like literally killing this bill unless of course that is the real intent.

02:43 I'm not one to judge the intending senators. Naniniwala kami sa House of Representatives sa kanilang binitawang silita. We're not questioning their credibility. Naniniwala kami sa kasabihang if there's a will, there's a way.

03:01 Kaya nung last press conference namin nila SDS, majority leader Manis Dalipay, we spoke about sense of urgency. Talagang napakahalaga po at kinakailangan ito. Mayroon tayong isang batas na aantala, yung Public Services Act na gina-questioned sa ating Horte Suprema.

03:26 Hindi po ito may-implement kung hindi po natin ipapasa kaagadang RBHs at taklaruhin natin. Totoo naman po ang sabi ng SP ng Sudiris, napakasimple naman po ang economic provisions. Very specific, ano ba? Payag ka ba? Dati nga kami sa House, 7 ang gusto nating sectors, pero 3 na lang gusto nila. Sige payag na rin kami.

03:52 So kung 3 lang yan, much more reason to be expedient and to work with a sense of urgency. Sabi ko namin ulit, if there's a will, there's a way. Kaya let's walk the talk. Yun po ang pananawanan din po namin.
